Bird Scare Humming Line / Pest Control

I purchased several anti-bird measures to try and keep the crows and seagulls from perching on my fences. At first I thought this was working, but recently I'm not sure. It is as if they have gotten used to it and know it isn't a threat. If it makes a noise as it says, it is outside of my spectrum of hearing. If you could put 1000v through it I think it would be a big improvement.On the upside it is easy to string and quite strong, so you won't have any problem putting it out. Maybe you will have more luck than me.

I have used this again this year but instead of tying it to tall garden canes I tied to permanent fixtures and a little higher up. It now thrums and flickers in a slight breeze.

Could not reach the places I need to to fix the string so not able to give a fair review.I will try it in other places nen I feel the need

I have cats and the seagulls are always 'bombing' them...thought this might deter the gulls....it has had some effect but had to criss=cross line but birds still try to land and get their wings fast...would have liked something more scary for the gulls.

Seems that my initial thoughts were wrong I have used the bird scare humming line over my strawberry and cabbage plants and the pigeons have left them alone will be purchasing more

So what is this supposed to do again? I bought to put over my pond as seagulls have eaten nearly all my fish this year. Tied over area as instructed. I can see the string vibrate but it certainly doesn't hum or make any noise whatsoever, in fact, shortly after I put it up a seagull came and sat underneath it. A pigeon followed suit shortly after that. So, I ask again, what is this supposed to do because the birds in my garden completely ignore it!

I found it difficult to get the line to stay at the required tension as I'm using it in an allotment. The stakes or whatever you secure it to need to be fixed quite securely.

Easy to use and very effective I have had no damage to crops from birds since I put them up.
