I tried to size it on the toilet before opening and it wouldn't sit flat. Almost returned when I thought to try removing the entire top seat, and we did. It seats perfectly.I'm due in 6 weeks with baby no 2. Never had a hemorrhoid before, been nervous about the entire process. Now 4 weeks accepting it's not uncommon. Plus after birth this will feel nice on my perineum...So, I didn't fill up past the nozzle, I saw the water line and the fountain flow is perfect and nice. I did very hot water to apply the bath sitz crystals along with herbal sitz tea from Earth momma. Which says to seep for 5 minutes. It cooled a bit and when it became warm not scalding, I have it a try.It's amazing! Although I'm not sure how long to sit here and I was reading it helps release tightness or relaxes spincter muscles but the seat is hard to relax. I think the stress of sitting too long with so much baby on top of my pelvic floor adds a bit more pressure so time wise I would say 5 minutes... but I don't know and will have to ask my pelvic floor specialist her thoughts.The spout nozzle is aimed straight back and hits the hemorrhoid perfectly.The directions are a bit confusing. They say to start the product don't turn off then remove the sprinkler head upward... so I waited for it to maybe automatically shut off... but the water started to get cold and I'm sure I was on around 15 minutes... so this could be better instructed, and I could have asked my doctors about how long to sit...But I 💯 grateful i didn't send back. Hoping to shrink this sucker before birth.

I purchased this sitz bath looking for an alternative to my home bidet for use while traveling with our RV. I’m pleased to say this works very well. Certainly not as powerful of water stream as the bidet but works to keep clean and fresh. When ready to use and the toilet is empty fill the basin to the recommended water level and place directly on the toilet. I would not place on the toilet seat. Sit down directly on the sitz bath basin. Push the button in the front and you’re all set! It takes 2 AA batteries. When finished pour the water down the toilet drain since extra water in the black tank is always a good thing. One more quick rinse of the basin with water then wipe down with a sanitizing wipe. I place the basin in the shower to air dry then push the basin in and store under the sink. There are different colors to order if your spouse wants one since I’m not sharing mine with my husband!

I just had surgery 2 days ago. I ordered this to help clean my area after using the restroom. It worked great, until last night. So I got 2 whole days of use out of it. Unfortunately I can't request a return or refund because when I ordered it I had to reschedule my procedure twice, putting me out of the return window. I changed the batteries and it still doesn't work...

This thing does what it says, but I wanted to warn others about what happened to me. I received this item and it didn't work at all. It arrived wrapped in plastic with (very cheap) batteries already installed and no documentation or accessories. I exchanged it because it was broken. When the new one arrived, it did not contain any batteries and came with all the accessories pictured and instructions. I'm pretty sure the first item I received had been returned. Not good, since it was broken, but also this isn't exactly the kind of item you want if it's been used.So just beware, if you receive this items without accessories, documentation, or it comes with batteries installed, send it back! Even if it works.

If you have an operation on your butt, this is a wonderful tool. I had a regular sitz bath that you just sat in with warm water, but when you've had surgery you do not want to touch down there for at least a week and this thing that squirts everything away is refreshing and easy to use with 2 double A batteries. I looked at others that were electric, but I do not have a plug near my toilet. The batteries lasted over 2 weeks with uses everyday.

I chose the battery operated since I didn't want to deal with manual pump nor and wires for charging.I had certain expectations since I was reading it as a recommendation for postpartum recovery, so I bought this a couple days after birth since I was feeling pain.It ended up not being that great - the setup is very awkward - since this one is more of a square shape, it didn't really fit my toilet so sometimes the base would move around. This gets uncomfortable since you're already uncomfortable when just sitting on your regular toilet seat.The spray pressure isn't very good. I actually think my peribottle pressure is better and more effective at providing comfort.The worst part of this is figuring out how to clean it. When you're recovering postpartum, you're already dying from walking around or standing. Having to deal with cleaning it - I might as well just take a shower.

The flow not very strong but enough for its purpose. If you have a problem down there , add a little salt and you will have a fast relief
