Easy to Use, Strong, and Great Value
I have found Gorilla Wood Glue 118ml to be a very good, reliable wood glue for small DIY jobs, repairs and general household use. It is easy to apply, spreads well, and gives a strong bond once it has been left to dry properly. For everyday wooden repairs, furniture fixes, smaller household jobs and crafts, I think it performs very well. The Gorilla brand seems to have become a household name in the UK over recent years, helped by its regular advertising. Although it still feels relatively new on the scene to me, the company has actually been selling products since 1994 and is based in Ohio, USA. The bottle size is handy because it is small enough to keep in a drawer or toolbox without taking up much space, but still contains enough for several small jobs, and fits in the hand comfortably. The nozzle is also quite practical once you know how it works. It pulls and clicks up into the open position, then the glue comes out through the small slot at the top when you squeeze the bottle. I actually quite like the slot-style applicator because it helps you apply a neat stripe of glue rather than just a blob. After use, the nozzle pushes back down to close. As with most glues, it is worth wiping the end afterwards so it does not clog up. The instructions are on the rear label, but in tiny print which can be difficult to read unless you’re lucky enough to have 20/20 vision, so I have attached a close-up photo which should be easier to read. The glue dries to a fairly neutral, clear colour, which is useful if the join is slightly visible. I also like that it has a D3 water-resistance rating. In plain terms, this means it is water-resistant enough for normal indoor furniture, kitchen or bathroom-type humidity, and occasional spills if they are wiped up, but it is not fully waterproof. It is fine for things like indoor furniture, table legs and general household repairs, but I would not use it for wood that will be soaked, submerged, or kept constantly wet. It states that it is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, but for heavier, very wet conditions, I would personally look for a D4-rated glue instead. It is not an instant-grab glue, though, and it is not something you just dab on and expect to work straight away. To get the best result, the wood needs to be clean, dry and properly prepared. If possible, it is best to remove dust, loose old glue, polish, varnish, grease or anything else that might stop the glue bonding properly. In terms of how much to use, I would say a thin but complete, even layer is best. For a simple joint, applying it to one surface should usually be enough, but for a stronger repair, or if the wood is dry, rough, absorbent or end-grain, I would use a very thin smear on both meeting surfaces. You want full coverage, but not a thick, slippery layer. A small amount squeezing out along the join when clamped is a good sign. If lots of glue is pouring out everywhere, you have probably used more than needed. I would also join the pieces together straight away after applying the glue, rather than leaving it to dry or go tacky first. Once the glue is on, bring the pieces together, line them up properly and clamp them firmly. Wipe away any excess with a damp cloth before it dries. For smaller unstressed repairs, the clamp time may not need to be very long, but for something more important, such as a table leg (see my attached video) or anything that will take weight, I would personally leave it clamped for longer if possible, ideally overnight. I would also avoid putting the item back into normal use for around 24 hours, to give the glue a proper chance to cure and reach full strength. Pros: * Strong bond when used properly * Easy to apply and spread * Handy small bottle size * Pull-up nozzle is simple to use * Slot-style applicator helps apply a neat stripe * Dries to a natural-looking colour * D3 water resistance is suitable for normal indoor repairs and occasional dampness * Good for small repairs, table legs, furniture fixes and DIY jobs * Excellent value if you only need a small amount Cons: * Needs proper drying time * Best results need clamping or firm pressure * Not ideal if you need an instant repair * The nozzle may clog if not wiped after use * May not work well if the wood is dirty, loose-fitting or poorly prepared * D3 is water-resistant, but not fully waterproof * Not suitable for soaked, submerged, permanently wet or heavily exposed outdoor wood * For load-bearing repairs, it is best to wait around 24 hours before normal use Overall, I think Gorilla Wood Glue is a very good product and a useful thing to have around the house. It is simple, practical, strong and easy to use, as long as you prepare the surfaces properly, apply a sensible amount, clamp the pieces firmly and give it enough time to set. The D3 rating makes it reassuring for normal indoor furniture repairs and occasional moisture, while still making clear that it is not a heavy-duty outdoor or marine-type adhesive. Good-quality wood glue from a trusted brand is known to be extremely strong and reliable, and in many cases the repaired joint can even be stronger than the surrounding wood itself. Used properly, I think this is excellent for everyday wooden repairs and general DIY jobs, with the added pleasure of seeing something broken made whole again by your own hand, or a craft project you have been thinking about for a while come to life. Whichever brand you choose, all the best, and I hope the wood gets stuck more than you do. Thanks for reading, I hope you found this review helpful x

Excellent Wood Glue That Made My Wine Rack Rock‑Solid
I bought this 118ml Gorilla Wood Glue to strengthen a flat‑pack wine rack that used dowels, and I’m genuinely impressed with how well it performed. Once applied, the joints tightened up beautifully and the whole rack feels much sturdier than it ever would have straight out of the box. Application is effortless. The glue flows easily from the bottle, giving you great control, and it stays workable long enough to adjust everything into perfect alignment before it starts to set. The screw‑top cap seals firmly too, so the remaining glue stays fresh for future projects. Strong, fast‑setting and water‑resistant – exactly what you want from a wood glue. A great addition to any DIY toolkit.

Definitely recommend
I’m a hobby woodworker and have used many different types of glue over the years. Gorilla Glue is easy to work with and also makes the best putty-style glue I’ve found. It doesn’t run everywhere like some others and bonds quickly. If you haven’t tried it yet, I would definitely recommend giving it a go.

Sticks well.
It’s gorilla glue, so it’s always good and in a handy size. Quick drying and good value. Nice versatile size. The last one from another make was good, but after a while just went into big lumps. Hopefully this will stay fluid. Always found gorilla stuff top notch.

Strong, clean bond with a perfect finish
Absolutely brilliant wood glue. The Gorilla Wood Glue bonded perfectly and the colour matched the wood almost exactly, which made the finish look really clean and professional. It dried strong, didn’t leave a messy residue, and was very easy to work with. Honestly saved me from the usual DIY disaster humans seem genetically committed to creating.

Great product and you only need a little. Easy to use pull up spout
Another great gorilla product. The door on my IKEA sideboard was loose and you could see the wooden peg at the top. I squeezed some of this in and rubbed away the excess and it has kept it all in place. It was easy to use and control and you only need a little bit so I will have loads left. The caps closes well to keep it ready to use later. Wipe excess spills away and it dried clear.

Gorilla Wood Glue 118ml Review: Strong, Reliable, and Easy to Use When it comes to woodworking and general repairs, finding a reliable adhesive is key. Gorilla Wood Glue 118ml has become a go-to product for DIY enthusiasts and professionals alike, and for good reason. Known for its strength and ease of use, this wood glue delivers on both performance and value, making it an excellent choice for any project that requires a strong bond between wood pieces. Performance and Bond Strength (9.5/10) One of the standout features of Gorilla Wood Glue is its impressive bond strength. Whether you're building furniture, crafting, or fixing broken wooden items, this glue does a fantastic job of holding pieces together. It dries to a strong, durable bond that can withstand everyday use and wear. The glue’s water-resistant formula ensures that the bond stays intact, even in humid or slightly damp conditions, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor projects. Ease of Use (9/10) The 118ml bottle is the perfect size for most small to medium-sized projects, and the nozzle is designed for precise application, which helps minimize mess. The glue itself is easy to spread and has a smooth consistency, making it simple to work with, even for beginners. It has a relatively quick drying time, typically setting in about 20-30 minutes, with a full cure time of 24 hours. This gives you enough time to adjust pieces while still allowing for a solid bond. Drying and Finish (8.5/10) One of the most appreciated aspects of Gorilla Wood Glue is that it dries clear, leaving no visible residue or marks on the wood. Whether you’re using it for visible joints or more hidden areas, the clear finish ensures your project looks clean and professional. The drying time is reasonable, though it’s always best to allow the full 24 hours for optimal strength. Durability (9/10) Once set, the bond is tough and reliable. It holds up well under pressure and is resistant to shrinking, cracking, or breaking apart, even under changing temperatures. This durability makes it suitable for both furniture repairs and larger wood projects that will see a lot of use over time. Value for Money (9/10) At 118ml, this bottle offers good value, especially considering the quality of the product. A little goes a long way, and you’ll find that you don’t need to use much glue for a strong bond. It’s also reasonably priced, especially compared to other high-performance wood adhesives. Given its durability and effectiveness, it’s well worth the investment. Pros: Excellent bond strength for wood Dries clear, leaving no residue Water-resistant, great for both indoor and outdoor use Easy to apply with a precise nozzle Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity Cons: Requires a full 24-hour cure time for maximum strength Not suitable for bonding certain non-wood materials (i.e., metal, plastic) The 118ml size might be small for very large projects Conclusion (9/10) Gorilla Wood Glue 118ml lives up to the brand's reputation for high-quality adhesives. It’s reliable, easy to use, and provides a strong, long-lasting bond for wood projects. The clear drying finish, water resistance, and easy application make it perfect for everything from crafting to heavy-duty repairs. While it may not be the best choice for every material, when it comes to wood, this glue is a top contender. If you’re looking for a versatile, dependable adhesive, this glue is definitely worth adding to your toolbox
