I had to find a gavel for a mock trial for which I was serving as judge. I was afraid this was a toy, but it’s actually a legitimate gavel. Unfortunately, it came with a little damage to the paint/stain, but it was fine for my purposes and I’m sure it was a rare defect. I didn’t bother returning it just because the defect was minor and I only needed it for a mock trial. But it’s a good gavel, standard size and construction as used by judges in the courtroom.

Given as a gift to our newly elected art guild president. Light enough to toss in a tote bag to bring to meetings. Good size to work at the meetings. Good value for the money
