The answer is no, we used to feed our chickens Flubenvet pellets from an open trough & the local Crows & Sparrows would help themselves during the 7 day period. All that would happen is the wild birds get a free worm treatment!

Is this suitable for ducks too? Our hens and ducks roam together and tend to eat each other’s food.

Hi, I haven’t had chickens for about 8 years now but according to google. Flubenvet is commonly used with chicken, turkeys and geese. It’s not licensed for use with ducks although many people do use it. Hope that helps

I have 6 silkie bantams , will the 5kg bag be enough for the 7days with them being bantams ?

This should certainly be enough to feed to your 6 Bantams for a week. We have 3 large Hens and it will last them longer than 7days so we continue feeding until it is gone. We use this twice a year and give the girls no other feed or treats whilst using the Flubenvet pellets to ensure they consume only these in order to obtain best effect.
