Which bios version does this ship with?

I don't remember the version offhand. However I do remember having to update it in order to fully utilise it.

Will this need a bios update before working with a Threadripper 2990WX?

At the time I purchased this board it had the latest Bios installed, it worked fine with the 1920x CPU - Hope this helps
