Calphalon Premier Hard-Anodized Nonstick 8.5-Quart Dutch Oven with Lid

This is the most useful Dutch oven I have ever owned. It is big enough to braise an entire 5-6 lb. brisket. It is also great for making stews, meat sauces and anything else in large quantities. It has been a godsend especially at Christmas when preparing multiple menu items. It can be cleaned quickly with a wet sponge. Nothing sticks to it. Great product!!

Seems sturdy and good non stick so far. Hope it lasts longer that my old Calphalon which warped and scratched. It said it was improved so we’ll see.

I like the tall sides and large size, I use this instead of short sided frying pans. Great for frying, sauces, and many other things.

I really don’t understand the love of Calphalon pans. I usually use this pot to make soup. I recently simmered a pot of soup with the lid on & now there is liquid inside the rim of the lid. It doesn’t evaporate or drip out / it’s just sitting in there going rancid. Also the handle gets hot while using it - a problem I’ve had with other Calphalon pans. I think that’s poor design as well as dangerous. I have a 3-quart pan I use a T-fal lid on. Now I have to find a lid for this.I’ll stick to the Costco or Kohls knock-offs.
