Sylvanian Families - The Caravan

A nice little caravan but not as sturdy as I expected.It is very fiddly to open and has to be done in sequence with two hands and closed carefully the same way.Once open the main part cannot be closed until the interior bits are closed first which younger children may not immediately fathom.In my opinion, it will not stand up to a lot of 'shared play' where pulling and grabbing may be involved!

This is a great addition to a sylvanian families collection - but more of value if you already have one of the compatible vehicles that you can attach the caravan to to get the most out of it. There are lots of pieces in the set and nice detail (such as being able to open the oven and put food in there to cook) and the kids love setting it up and playing with it. The caravan is pretty sturdy when opened up and has so far withstanded hours of play - several of the small pieces were really small (for example the soap looks like and is the same size as a pill) and so I have kept those away from my youngsters even though they are over 3.The set comes pretty much assembled but you do need to put the stickers on (no instructions for which goes where so we relied on pictures on the box).

I am so happy with this Caravan it’s absolutely amazing. The structure is already built hooray !! It’s just the smaller parts to take out if packaging and stickers to place if you want to.I got it for a good price it’s a treat due to the current lockdown in the U.K. and unsure if we will get our holidays. My daughter is 5 and has fallen in love with it.

Not sure about the size of the box! The caravan itself is not small but the box is four times the caravan and I wonder if all this extra packaging is necessary. Parts of the caravan are fairly fragile. So I will not recommend this for kids younger than say 5. There are lots of surprises with the caravan and the design is very real and very British! One question I have though is how does one reach the kitchen area from the living area? Do they jump from the living area to the kitchen area?I can see my little niece (3 yr old) playing this until she reaches 10! She already has one of the family cars and she loves it. The price is about right. I am glad Epoch still makes toys like this. I prefer kids playing real toys than computer games to be honest, LOL!

It was as expected a good quality product

I am very disappointed as I didn’t realised it would only be the caravan. It is very expensive for just the caravan without the car!!! If I had known I wouldn’t have bought it but the box was ripped and now it’s been played with so I can’t return it.

Pleased with the product however very disappointed with the delivery, I kept track of the delivery all day and as it stated that if I was not at home, they parcel would be left with a neighbour. I was literally out of the house for ten minutes when the parcel was left not with a neighbour, who incidentally was at home, but thrown over my side gate! Luckily the item wasn’t damaged as it is a Christmas present but to cap it all it stated that the item was delivered and handed to me personally which I can assure you it was not!
