I like the big bulb, but mine has not lasted the 35,000 hrs as claimed. I've owned this for not quite four years and I doubt it has averaged more than 3 hrs per day and could be a lot less. So call it 1400 days to make 4,200hrs max! Even if it had been on every day it would have to have been on for 25hrs a day to get to 35000!Did last longer than the 2-year guarantee period though!

This is my 2nd bulb. These give a really bright light great for the kitchen and have a very long life . I use mine without a shade as they make a great statement on their own. Would recommend to anyone.

This bulb arrived quickly and is well packed in a plastic case inside the box so well protected for transport and storage.It is a lovely shape and size so very pleasing to look at although the glass is clear and doesn't have the tint that other vintage style bulbs can have. The light is very bright so when switched on it is great if you want to see what you're doing but you can't really appreciate the lit up filaments because it is too bright to look at. (I can't manage to get a decent photo to show you at all as the focus doesn't get it right!) It remains an interesting bulb to look at when switched off so is a nice feature. I'd recommend this if you want a nice bright bulb but not so much if you're looking for soft atmospheric lighting. The quality seems good.
