29V 8W LED Power Supply TS-8W29V LED Transformer Class 2 Power Unit US Plug Adapter Replacement, Seasonal-Use LED Driver for LED String Light, Christmas Holiday Lighting(29V 8W)

We purchased a pre-lit LED Christmas tree from Sears several years ago. Then one day it just winked out for no apparent reason. The rotating base still worked but the lights would not turn on. After testing several strands with a bulb tester the tree suddenly came back on and then went out the next day. I determined that the transformer was the problem. This was an exact replacement for the original. I plugged it in and the tree fired up again. Thank you so much for rescuing our Christmas tree from the landfill.

Just as stated

I didn't realize connectors were so unstandardized with these transformers. I bought it to replace a transformer on an LED decoration with nearly identical specs, but it could not be installed.

Could not test the power supply as the connection was a bit too small for our LED X-Mas light sting.

Extremely confused and annoyed on this. Bought this in 2022 as a backup replacement for a failing led pre-lit Christmas tree power pack. You can see in the pic, they are almost exactly identical on the labels except one small detail that I didn't notice til some other review mentioned it. Notice the positive and negative on the little diagram I have circled in the pic- they're opposite. And cause of the moon shape, it's not like you can turn them around. When I tried them before discovering the other persons review and point about the polarity being switched, they didn't work and made a weird chirping/beeping sound. I'm assuming the polarity is to blame, but welcome any other explanation from the manufacturer. I'm so disappointed, cause I bought them as backups and continued to use my original since it wasn't quite dead yet. Well, this year it died and the "backups" don't even work and it's too late to return them. Hopefully I can help someone out there doing the same thing avoid the hassle and wasted money.

Ordered one. Returned it for a replacement because it didn’t work. Got the replacement and it didn’t work. Note the positive side.
