Bought this to add to slime to make it magnetic. Great results. The magnet isn't that strong but it was the powder i bought it for,

My grandson was a bit disappointed with the pulling power to be honest. The description said 1kg pulling power so we were both expecting a bit more. The iron filings are like powder and are a bit of a nightmare....mess everywhere trying to get them off.

Son loved it, smaller than I thought but hours of fun picking up the iron filings.

magnet disappointingly weak. Not enough magnetic force to really show the lines of force with the iron filings through a piece of paper or thin clear plastic. Just enough to show the forces if the filings are stuck directly to the magnet. On the plus side, this means it is quite easy to wipe the filings off the magnet, whereas it was was really difficult to remove iron filings from the strong horseshoe magnet I had as a kid .
