Nasco1100424 Fine Arts Unprimed Cotton Canvas Roll, 6 yds x 62"

I have been an artist pretty much my whole life, have always made my own frames and stretched my canvas on it and gessoed myself as I do not like buying them already done. It is freedom when as an artist you can do this yourself and make your own sizes for odd walls etc., I have used duck canvas like many other pro artists but honestly when you use the duck canvas it really soaks up your gesso quickly. I have looked for a long time for the right weight cotton for making my own canvases and I am positive this is it. It stretches beautifully over your frames had no issues with it ripping or anything and on another positive note it does not eat up your expensive gesso. It also takes watercolor ground very well. Outstanding canvas!! I will be buying more for sure. Am totally in love with it!! 5+

The media could not be loaded. Full sheet with 0 seams. No fraying at all. Canvas is very smooth.Works so well! Stretched a 38” x 72” very nicely and is nice and tight. Sounded like a drum as it should. Photos are taken with 3 coats of gesso. Used oak frame for extra stregnth because of size.

The fabric is great, better than I expected. I am using it for drop cloth curtains. The first time I ordered, it came on a roll. All pretty and nice and smooth. The second time it came all wadded up in a box. Didn't make me feel the second order that I was respected as a customer and that the company cares my hard earned money was being spent with them.

It came fairly quick. I am still using some of this roll. And had some left from it. It was a good product. I would of course always try to knock the price a bit lower because I am not Donald Trump! (ha)

Great price for unprimed canvas. Love this stuff! Very good quality!Edit: 08-09-2017DO NOT BUY.Once this was a great buy. So much so I went back in my archives YEARS later to order againIt's no longer in a roll and I don't think it's even the right length. It's ridiculous. I'm incredibly upset.

This is artists' canvas, but it's good for a multitude of uses. I'm using it to cover an equipment rack that I keep in my guest room. The fabric is unfinished; there is no varnish or other treatment. However, it has a very nice appearance, and it will do very nicely for my intended use.Best features:-- Slightly oversized: The canvas is about 65" wide, which is helpful, since my pieces total exactly 60" wide. The sides of the fabric are intentionally left slightly frayed, so the extra width enabled me to get a nice, clean cut on all four sides.-- On a roll: The fabric came on a cardboard roll, not folded. I appreciate this touch, since it eliminated the step of having to iron creases out of the fabric.-- Medium weight: I use a sailmaking sewing machine to do my sewing (yes, I'm a sailor), but the fabric is light enough that any home machine should be able to handle it without any problems.All in all, a good value, and one that I can recommend without reservation.

It doesn't actually, but it should!!! It arrived on time and at first I was worried about the seller because there were mixed reviews, but I just had this feeling in my gut ya know "take a chance dude, BE BRAVE". So I took a leap of faith.On the day of delivery, my wife and I waited anxiously as the hour of delivery was upon us. "DING DONG" the doorbell gave a rung, I bolted to the door, shoving my wife off of her stepping stool as she was trying to dust off a high up shelf.... and as she lay there on the ground she gazed up at me in astonishment and asked " what the f bro?" I responded in a whispering tone "its finally here".Its honestly really great quality.

Wonderful to paint on after it is treated with few layers of white GessoWill definitely buy againLike that you can cut it to size you need.

Really amazing quality. Easy to cut and nice thickness, not too thin. Currently priming and preparing to use oil paints on it.
