This multitool is superb, I have 1 at home, 1 in the car and I use 1 at work. Brilliant tool, so sharp so careful not to snip through any cables. Solid design, versatile and easy to use. Bit expensive for 1 tool but it does so many things!

Let’s be clear: there are plenty of cheaper tools that are similar. But the differences are what make the difference, here. I buy lots of tools. I do a lot of electrical work in my professional and home life. And I wish I’d bought these (expensive) pliers years ago! Why? Firstly, they’re sharp. Really, really sharp: which makes cutting insulation and wire absolutely fine. For context, I’ve cut through 16mm2 cable with ease. Disturbing ease! It makes such light work of insulation that it turns an otherwise fiddly job into one which is a delight. This isn’t a “perfect” tool, though: perhaps just the way I use it, but if you’re not careful you could catch a flap of skin - so be careful! But other than that one incredibly minor ‘flaw’ (unfair to call it that), then it’s worth every penny. Feels sturdy, I’m sure time will tell. I’m not sponsored by Knipex.

Great peice of kit. The 2.5 and 1.5 strippers are particularly good. The cable shears will chop meter tails with no effort. The slim nose pliers are great for looping over twin and earth and also getting the earth into metal boxes. A little expensive but you get what you pay for. Saves loads of weight in the pouch when second fixing. For domestic second fix they are great.

A fantastic tool which can replace several tools in the toolbox. VDE approved so also a "safe" tool. Maybe even a life saving tool. This model doesn't feature the latch of the '96' model though some of the product thumbnails show the latch. I also have the latch model, a little damaged through cutting a live cable, but hey that's the value of the VDE handles. Occasional electricians or competent DIY'ers will probably find the non-latch model much more convenient because the opening can be controlled with a finger between the handles.

Yes, there are cheaper pliers out there. However they won't come close to the quality and handiness of these. Cable strippers make it extremely hard to get it wrong. The handles are very ergonomic and comfortable to hold whilst being VDE rated. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent multi tool, well worth the money! Somewhat awkward experience as the tool smells heavily from tobacco. E-mailed the vendor asking for some reason to this smell, but got nothing in return. Yes, I have washed it with soap, making no difference at the odor...

E' un ottimo prodotto di marca. Robusta, ben rifinita, bene affilata nelle parti taglienti e ben forgiata nelle parti di presa. La pinza è versatile avendo più funzioni. Il tagliatavi taglia senza sforzo, gli spelatilo sono affilati e ben calibrati. Unico piccolo punto di attenzione è relativo alla parte crimpatrice: bisogna stare a stenti a non stringere con troppo forza altrimenti si schiacciano troppo i puntalini; e una pressione minima è sufficiente a fissarli perfettamente. Decisamente un prodotto professionale. Il costo non è basso ma la pinza li vale tutti.
