Oregon Scientific THN132N Wireless Temperature Sensor - White

I bought this as a replacement for one that came with a weather station given to me as a Christmas present over 5 years ago. The original one still worked but its signal was no longer powerful enough to get through the house from the garden. I tried a number of new batteries but to no avail. The new one worked straight away with the station and sensor in the original locations. When changing batteries or sensor you have to reset both the station and the sensor with their reset buttons for it to work.

Very easy to set connected to original unit and has been working fine for a couple of days. Have noticed a small change in the distance range but not a major problem at the moment. Watch this space.

A perfect accompaniment to the Oregon Scientific BAR206 Weather Station. It "sits" insignificantly on the upright post of the bird table, from where it transmits the information to the weather station. A great piece of kit and a perfect for keeping us up to date of what to expect in terms of weather ! Great !

Does the job okay but seems to have a short lifespan. This is the third sensor I have had in about 7-8 years.

I ordered the Oregon Scientific THN132N Wireless sensor from Templelodge last year - I had a problem with it but Templelodge provided excellent customer service, responded immediately and promptly sent out a replacement even though it was over the busy Christmas period. The product now works perfectly and we are very pleased - excellent service, thank you to Templelodge!!

My previous sensor failed after two and a half years. The new one doesn't provide humidity data just temperature. The one that does have this feature costs considerably more. I opened it up for a look before disposing of. It uses a single chip to provide all its functionality and this is placed on a small pcb with very little else. As these are mass produced in China, a more realistic price would have been around £5. It is possible to buy full weather stations from China directly for around £20 with much more functionality. I would give this one a miss!

Although described as fully compatible with the original base equipment I had purchased a number of years ago, it took a number of attempts of re-setting both the sensor and base equipment following the instructions, for the temperature sensor to begin communicating with the base unit, which proved to be very frustrating. Although following the instructions, when it eventually started to work, I had done nothing differently than the previous attempts. Perhaps a trouble shooting matrix could be included.

After sitting one sensor in a puddle we bought another as a replacement. There is nothing that an eight year old likes more than to monitor the change in temp on a daily basis. We found that the puddle bound one actually dried out and worked fine so we now have one at either end of the garden. Given the range I expect that two is probably one more than actually required but both work well. Probably a bit expensive but given their durability probably worthwhile.

Ne avevo ricevuto un altro identico in regalo ma mi era caduto e si era rotto. Non ero molto soddisfatto di quell'apparecchio perchè avevo sempre rilevato un certo scarto tra le temperature trasmesse dal sensore e quelle indicate dalla base, collocati nello stesso posto, ma l'ho ricomprato ugualmente per non lasciare la base priva del suo sensore esterno. Ora sono contento di averlo fatto perchè il sensore, pubblicizzato come "nuova produzione", funziona in modo eccellente. L'accoppiamento wifi è semplice e rapido. Le temperature rilevate da base e sensore sono quasi assolutamente identiche tra loro e corrispondono a quelle rilevate da altri termometri non digitali. Bello il design. Prezzo non eccessivo data la buona qualità del prodotto.

Tenía la estación base con dos receptores, pero me di cuenta que aceptaba tres y busqué en la web. En Amazon de nuevo el mejor precio, y se nota que no era yo el único porque la disponibilidad del producto era muy limitada, me compré la última unidad. Decir que funciona perfecto, y ahora tengo mediciones en 3 puntos de la casa. La pila dura muchísimo y la precisión de la medida de temperatura es bastante acertada, no tanto la de la previsión meteorológica, pero para eso tenemos los partes en televisión. No hay problemas de alcance en casas normales, incluso con puertas cerradas la señal se sigue recibiendo desde los receptores a la estación base. Muy contento con Oregon Scientific y con la compra en Amazon.

J'ai acheté cette sonde de température pour l'intégration de ma solution domotique basée sur Domoticz avec un RFXCOM. Cette sonde est parfaitement compatible : il n'y a qu'à brancher les piles et elle est automatiquement reconnue par Domoticz (sous réserve bien sûr d'avoir activé le protocole dans le RFXCOM) La fréquence d'envoi de la température est à mon sens parfaite, ce qui permet des scénarios pour le chauffage et la ventilation assez réactif. L'usage que j'en ai fait est simple : je l'ai placé devant une bouche de ventilation de ma cheminée avec insert. J'ai placé sur cette bouche de ventilation un extracteur radio-commandé, la lecture de la température sur la sonde me permet de savoir quand allumer et éteindre l'extracteur pour un répartition homogène de la chaleur dans ma maison (en évitant d'avoir l'extracteur actif 100% du temps, ce qui n'est pas bon car ça fait quand même du bruit et qu'il finit par se mettre en sécurité avec la chaleur produite par la cheminée) A noter que cette sonde ne fait que le relevé de température, d'autres sondes proposent en plus le relevé de l'humidité (à utiliser par exemple pour automatiser la ventilation des pièces humides). Chose appréciable : la pile dure très longtemps. Bref rapport qualité prix appréciable. Je trouve ça plus simple de commander ce matériel, plutôt que de commander des sondes chinoises à bas coût (un coup ça marche, un coup ça marche pas)

Habe eine alte Station von Tschibo, bestimmt 12 Jahre alt. Der Fühler ging nicht mehr, fand es aber schade diese Rarität zu entsorgen, da es mir immer gute Dienste geleistet hat. Im Internet finden man keine Referenz, es stellte sich aber heraus, dass der Fühler genau wie dieser von Oregon aussieht. Es scheint, Oregon hat wohl über Tschibo die Stationen damals verkauft. Der Fühler funktionierte auf Anhieb und somit sehr zufrieden. Der Preis ist allerdings schon sehr happig...
