I have all three BarreAmped which are, without exception, tough, fun and guaranteed to get you fit. I'm fairly fit. I run, cycle and do Kettlebell workouts, varying my routine each day. So, I grabbed my weights and did arm work (11 minutes) and seat work (14 minutes) Erm, you know I said I was fit!!! The next day I could hardly lift my arms and had to drag my legs around as if wearing lead slippers. I had to rest from targeted exercise for 4 days before the muscle soreness wore off. Brilliant! These don't look like staggeringly hard exercises but with the short, sharp repeat intervals, they really do the job. Adding the weights compounds the difficulty but also massively increases the benefits. I won't be using anyone else's DVD'S. I look forward to any one of the four workout DVD'S I have of Suzannes including the excellent belly fat blaster. Biggest bonus is that each workout is split into sections so if you are short on time you can get in a quick workout or choose several on the DVD for a longer workout. Review: Legs like jelly - Suzanne is always a great instructor and clearly takes a long time planning the best workouts for her audience that will get them the best results. I've been a fan of her 10 minute solutions dvds (she's probably their best instructor!) for 10 years and pleased she has released this Barre range. I didn't know what Barre was but gosh I do now. Some of the moves will be familiar to you if you've done any of her 10 min solution workouts, but the rest was new and unusual to me. I've never worked out like this before and it will take a few watches before I know which move is coming next and can speed up. I did fall behind a lot because I had to keep looking up to see what she was doing but I still got a good all round workout AND I did notice the 80 minutes passed surprisingly quickly. You're so engrossed in keeping good form and the moves that you don't find yourself hoping the section is nearly at an end as you can with the 10 minute dvds. It will be interesting to see if I ache tomorrow though the cool down stretch section is very thorough so hopefully not. Will I keep doing this DVD? Yes definitely, it was different but very enjoyable. The blonde lady in the background reassured me that it's OK to have legs like jelly! It's a shame there aren't fitness classes nearby like this, because I'd go!

Excellent - easy to follow, but physically challenging
Another fantastic exercise DVD from Suzanne Bowen. I consider myself very fit, and I found this routine challenging, varied and interesting. I use it regularly, especially when eg snow keeps me from running and cycling outdoors, and am seeing (feeling!) the results. There are easier options for many of the exercises so you can build up strength/stamina, or add light hand weights for extra resistance. I use between 0.5-1.5kg weights, depending on the workout, and many of the exercises just use the body's own resistance, which I find increasingly noticeable with enough repetitions. I like the fact that you can easily fit in a standalone 10-minute workout if time is short, or run them all together for a real workout. Also, there's not to much 'travel' involved, so I don't need to clear a huge space in the lounge. And the routines aren't overly complex - I found them easy to follow, so I can focus in getting the most out of the moves physically.

Burning legs and more...
I just love this DVD. I am doing a cross training at home and needed a new work out DVD for days when I am getting bored to fallow my program. I am using it to warm up my body before doing cardio. Doesn't have too much cardio but boy it burns...not to mention that it's very pleased. I like it so much that I find myself going back to use it even on a program day, like on Tuesday, to replace a boring warm up work out. I also got the BarreAmped - Cardio Burn which is also good. On free work out days, I am doing both of them, not getting bored of using Suzzane work out DVD one after the other. Recommended.

This exercise dvd is excellent. I have several of Suzanne Bowen's dvds and this is another great one. It combines some ballet moves with weights and works every muscle. It is quite intense to begin with and if you haven't worked out before, you may need to work up to it. You can do sections of it rather than the whole dvd. You can choose to work out your arms for instance or your thighs. I would definitely recommend.

Low impact but great workout.
It's not easy but it's so good. Low impact and use very low weights. I like that you can see her working along with you & even she gets winded at times, makes me feel better :-) You will sweat! Can do individual sections or all of them for a great all over work out. The exercises are always shown with three levels - beginners, moderate & advanced, pick your level & go :-)

Molto soddisfatta
Decisamente un buon training video. Arrivato nei tempo stimato previsto. Appena ho aperto il cartone ammetto però che ero titubante. La custodia del DVD non aveva né il classico involucro di pellicola ( quella che non si riesce mai a rompere! ) o sigilli che confermassero lo stato NUOVO del prodotto. Inoltre era tutto impolverato! Il DVD in se' però non ha nessun graffio, gira perfettamente ed è ben fatto. Naturalmente in lingua inglese ( e sebbene gli esercizi siano facili da comprendere, consiglierei a chi non conosce la lingua, di non comprarlo ) Ci sono tre istruttrici nel video che propongono ognuna lo stesso esercizio a vari livelli di difficoltà. Musica piacevole in sottofondo ed esercizi validi ed efficaci. Comprerò altri DVD della stessa trainer ( che in video è decisamente più bella che nella foto )
