Red KapMen's Double Knee No-Scratch Shop Pants

These pants perform great, wear weekly as a service tech crawling under buildings and servicing sump systems. These pants keep me dry, dirt brushes right off and they are abrasion resistant. These pants keep me warm when it’s cold and keep me cool when it’s warm. I love these pants. Fit great, a little loose, very durable, great pockets for storage and carrying items, fabric is tough, don’t wrinkle, look great and feel better!

I've only worn these two days in the shop, but so far I'm impressed with them. They are comfortable, have a great fit, and aren't too thin nor thick of a fabric. The double knees are still flexible enough to not really feel, unlike some pants with double knees.I like the pockets, with the left cargo pocket having a flap to secure items, and the right-hand cargo pockets are left open to hold tools, pen, etc. The pockets on these pants seem well thought out.Will update when anything changes and to inform how long they last for me. My last pair of blue jeans ripped out in the thigh above the knee after only 2 to 3 months, but metal fabrication work is hard on my clothes.

I work full time as an auto mechanic on gas and diesel passenger vehicles so I put these pants through the wringer, and they are hearty pants, extremely durable. I have 3 pairs (2 grey and 1 black) and 3 of their shop shorts too. Have had them years now and no rips or tears. Ordered a black pair once that started splitting at multiple seems but Red Kap was quick to replace and haven’t had a problem with the replacement pair and that was about a year ago.Love the pockets. They have the normal 2 front and 2 back, along with a pouch on the left and 2 layer pockets on the right. Enough for a phone, pocket flashlight, pocket screwdriver, multitool, keys, and a wallet, and the occasional wrench or flathead. Have to check them multiple time before I throw them in the hamper so I don’t lose anything.They are true to size. Highly recommend these pants, really sturdy and they seem to let go of oil and grease easy enough in the wash too. Washing at home they don’t hang on to wrinkles so no need for professional cleaning. Will continue to buy these as long as I work automotive.

I use to always go for dickies but then they started coming apart quickly, no longer durable, sizing was off, buttons popping off. So after 15 years I made the switch. Best thing I've done, these hold up great, fit true to size, and are built for all day comfort and durability. highly recommend these

It is very difficult to find black work pants that do not fade. These pants have lasted through several washings without any fading. They come out of the dryer without any wrinkles and do not shrink. They may be more expensive than other brands but it is worth it as they do not need to be replaced as often. The pockets are roomy and do not rip. They are very comfortable and fit true to size.

Fantastic quality, unique features and comfort.

I really like the fit and features of these pants, so much so that I'm going to compare them to another pant that I really like. That brand starts with a K and has an umlaut on the vowel. The fit of the Redkap is similar. It has a jeans cut in the waist and jeans-style horizontal slash pockets, instead of diagonal pockets, like chinos, which I can't stand. The crotch is a little lower than Ks, but not so much that they look dorky. Combined with the gusset, they give you plenty of room for moving around without binding up your undercarriage. Overall, the fit is relaxed without looking or feeling too baggy. The sizing is spot on- 32x34 have just the right inseam to cover the tops of my shoes without piling up on them, and the waist fits close enough that a belt is optional, but they're not too tight.The fabric is fabulous, actually better IMO than K's because it has a coarse weave that feels good, stretches a little and looks tough but is light and feels more breathable than dense canvas. The double knees are fine. They give a little extra protection without being bulky and you don't notice they're there when wearing them. The cargo pockets are very functional, just right for holding a phone, wallet, a few small tools or whatever, without being over-engineered. I modified the left pocket by tearing out the stitching on the rear edge of the flap, resewing the seam and installing a heavy duty snap. Now it's easier to get things in and out of that pocket, but it still keeps my wallet from falling out when I do backflips off of skyscrapers. Hahaha. It's not an essential mod but it makes the pocket more user-friendly.Only a couple cons: The stitching is not as nicely done as K's, there are thread ends sticking out here and there. The colors are pretty basic, not as "designer" as Ks. But I'm not entering a fashion contest so I don't care.The clincher for me is that these are a little over 1/3 the price of Ks. I ordered two more pairs in khaki and navy. I also ordered some shorts. That's how much I like them. I highly recommend the Redkaps!

These have a great loose fit that allows you to move without restriction. The pockets are also designed right to be useful.

I've been wearing these pants for the last 6 years everyday in a professional shop. I have 10 pairs and the only issue was a couple crotch tears. These were sown up and have been working great. The right side pocket is the best for holding keys and small tools. The knees are still in excellent condition.

Good quality, well made, good price. Tons of spacious pockets!I don't know what's up with Red Cap's obsession with hiding buttons. Both these pants, and the Red Cap work shirt I bought with them have the buttons (waistband button on the pants) hidden under flaps, which can make them a bit awkward to manage, but overall very good quality.

Aguanta mucho lavada sin perder el color la tela es muy resistente como la de los pantalones Caterpillar de hecho el corte se me hace más cómodo que el de los Caterpillar lo único que le falta es que no le pusieron tejido de cordura en los lugares más comprometidos como las rodillas o las partes bajas del pantalón pero por todo lo demás es un excelente pantalón

ordered a 40W but it fit closer to a 34W -_- Otherwise it looked ok I guess, but not sure how it wears

Glad I found these. Fit and feel great. I hope they last a long time. Will have to wait and see
