Whats the Voltage on this coil?

45,000 volts. Very very good coil. Loved it. Know matter how cold it is outside you can hear it fire up gas in a cold Engine.

hooked up new coil the same way as old one that was good but just old and ugly and im not getting any fire so my question is what could cause this??

I'm no pro, yet I have noted that a capacitor helps the coil give a better spark. I cannot say this with certainty either, yet getting too much voltage back into the ignition module can ruin it, at least partially. Certain "functions" are damaged is what I was told. A capacitor can help reduce the voltage that gets thrown back to the module, as well as keep the radio from popping. The thing that makes the voltage that gets back to the module that highest is not having the spark reaching ground easy enough. This can be caused by the rotor, cap, or wiring not letting it get to the spark plug. Testing for a decent spark by pulling a wire off the coil, plug or distributor is A DEFINITE DON'T DO.

Yes it will work on any car that has a single coil.

ACCEL's original Super-Coil is engineered for faster rise time, longer spark duration, and a noticeable increase in performance. Its unique design, premium-grade wire, low resistance, and high-turns-ratio windings produce higher spark energy with breakerless electronic ignition systems. For points-ignition applications, use the included 0.85-ohm ballast resistor in conjunction with the vehicle's original ballast resistor (if it's so equipped). An oversize molded case with integral cooling fins, together with the Super-Coil' high-capacity, oil-filled construction, ensure high thermal conductivity, cool operation, and long life. The extra-tall tan Alkyd tower and integral voltage dam eliminate flashover to primary terminals. This coil comes complete with all mounting hardware and the supplied 0.85 ohm ballast resistor and is effective up to 6,500 rpm. Super coil.

This is the most efficient coil on the market. It uses less power then the black tower type coil, and puts out a massive spark. My spark plugs lasts loger, and it's ideal for gas with Top Gun leads. JD
