OspreyHydraulics LT Reservoir 2.5L

I had previously purchased 2 cheaper bladders, both of which had issues and were clearly not of great quality. This bladder cost about twice the price of each of the others, but the quality of this one is far and above those. The bladder itself is of a much thicker and better quality plastic. The tubing is thicker. The mouthpiece lets more water through. The quick connect system allows you to disconnect only the hose and you can also route the hose through either side of the bladder. The included magnet is brilliant for holding the mouthpiece against your rucksack and stops it from flapping around and you always know where it is if you need to grab it. The hose is of a longer length than the cheaper bladders too. I've already had this one out for an 11 mile hike and it gave me no issues at all and I feel pretty confident in the quality of it. It goes nicely with my Osprey rucksack too (though obviously fits in any rucksack that has a hydration pouch). Although this Osprey model costs a bit more than some others (it also costs less than some too!), I wish I had simply bought this one first as it would have saved me the pain of going through 2 cheaper and lower quality bladders (which to be honest, are going in the bin).One last note, I didn't wash the bladder before first use and the water tasted almost perfect!

Good product, that is well designed and significantly cheaper than equivalent Platypus that I was replacing (issues with seal leaking).Osprey:- easy fill and much better designed seal mechanism- no plastic taste even from new- good valveHowever, beware of the magnetic clip, while a good idea in principle it messes with compasses, so I have removed it, an ordinary clip or a velcro design would be much better.

I don't usually write reviews, but this water bladder has actuallly been a game changer for me. It's strong, it's durable, it's well designed. The mouthpiece is great, no switches or buttoms, just bite on it and it works. The mouthpiece also feels really strong. The magnetic strap attachment is great for when you are basically braindead on a long run and don't have any capacity to attempt to stow away your tube to stop it flapping around. You can set it up in just the right place so that it basically locks itself back in place. I think this waterbladder has really helped me shave alot of seconds off my runs and probably increases my safety as it's less of a distraction from the run.Well worth the price.

Pros:-PERFECT size and shape, maintains it well-Cleans easily overall-Flow rate & ease of use on bite-valve is excellent compared to other bladderpacks I've had (drinks really well)-Tube magnet attachement is very strong-Very easy to fill, add ice with ziplock top etc.-With extra release on drinking tube and said wide ziplock top: can easily fill direct from any water source, drop a treatment tab in, & add a seperate filter unit on the line. Endless hydration.ONE MAJOR CON SO FAR:- For the life of me I cannot get the plastic taste out of the drinking tube. Cleaned, soaked, dried (in however many ways) Various soaps & waters, durations, saline, bicarbonate, fresh lemon, you name it. The resovoir tastes clean. Flavoured drinks in the tube taste like the drink. Plain water? Plasticky.

Easy to prepare and fit with into my Osprey rucksack with helpful magnet attachment for the tube. No leaks.

2.5!t blagger is a good size for a warm day, if a longer hike I take a backup. The bladder fits perfectly in my 12lt Osprey day sack, zero leaks from bladder fill point and drinking tube. Magnetic tube locator works well, no faf trying to reach for bottles in side pockets. If it’s a hot day fill the night prior and store in the fridge. I should of bought it years ago.

Unfortunately this item arrived defective, it had a leak around the handle. I called Osprey Europe and they directed me to their website to complete a guarantee claim. Within a few days they had sent me a new reservoir.The reservoir itself is awesome, with some great features such as internal fins to stop the water sloshing around when running.Osprey customer support are fantastic. Highly recommend!

Easy to use, install and had no issues with it. Love the design and fit perfectly in my 20L backpack

Like every other water bladder, this bladder will provide you with a never ending plastic taste. Other than that, it’s a great bladder. Good size for backpacking, doesn’t leak, and has all the features I could want.

Déception à l'usage de cette poche. Le système qui permet de détacher facilement le tuyau pour remplir la poche sans tout défaire se détache tout seul dans le sac après une seule utilisation dans ces conditions très softs et sans contact avec autre chose et dans un sac à dos adapté muni d'un compartiment dédié. Pensant que c'était un défaut j'ai demandé un remplacement de produit mais aucune différence. Très gênant quand en pleine rando votre tuyau se détache tout seul. Dommage, sans quoi j'aurais adhéré.
