Q: Can this be used on tin?

According to the manufacturer this product can be used on galvanised materials as well as iron, bronze, copper and copper alloys, brass, steel, and zinc. However they say it is not suitable for storage and treatment vessels of tin, zinc, and lead lined tanks. From this I would deduce (but I am not an expert on such things) that the product would cure tin corrosion but there may be a contamination issue with storage vessels made of this material. Hope this helps.

Q: Due to lack of instructions, does this need diluting? Thanks

It is some time since I used it because it the results are not that great. It does remove the rust but leaves the metal a dull grey colour. I don't think I diluted it but I can't remember to be honest. I searched the forums for information about it.; there is quite a lot of references to this product but I mostly resorted to the wire brush and scotch wheel methods, using a Dremel for the delicate items.

You can use it on old pennies and coins but it will still depend on the degree of decay as to the results. Don't expect miracles.
