I highly recommend this game.
As someone with 285 hours played in this game, I believe Dark Souls III is one of the best creations of fiction I have ever seen. As the third installment in the series created by the Japanese company, FromSoftware, Dark Souls III is their best work yet. Every detail is built on from the previous games, there is nothing in this game that feels dull or unfinished. The dark-fantasy world and story is created in a way that there are so many ways to interpret it, and you could spend hours thinking about all the different connections and theories that are left by the clues in the game. It’s created in such a way that it’s not necessary to go and revisit the previous games to understand what is going on, yet they are all still connected. The music is beautiful, and fits the theme of the game perfectly. The gameplay is well crafted, from creating your character and leveling up to create any build you want, to all the different kinds of cool weapons and armor you can find. You have complete control over where you want to go. The boss and enemy design is some of the best I’ve ever seen in a video game. However, I have to give one warning about this game. The Dark Souls games and any game made by FromSoftware are infamously known to be some of, if not the most challenging games out there. This game will not hold your hand, it will not tell you where to go, it will not tell you what to do. There are no special hints that will help you if you’re stuck. Although the gameplay is amazing, it’s extremely unforgiving with every mistake being punished. Having said that, I should mention that this game is not only single player. You are able to bring your friends into your world, but the game will make sure to scale the enemy's health to make sure things aren’t too easy. But I also believe that this challenge is what makes this game so unique. The challenge presented by the game gives such a distinctive rewarding feeling when you finally overcome even just one of the thousands of challenges you will face. Beating this game isn’t the same as beating most other games, it’s an accomplishment. Something you can be proud of, and even brag about. I highly recommend anyone to just at least try the game.

Easily The Best Souls Game!!!
I've played all the way through Dark Souls 1 & 2 and found them to be just all right games, a tad over-rated, but they were ok. So I was kind of hesitant to purchase Dark Souls 3. But I'm so glad I did. It's easily the best Dark Souls. It's so much faster, more fluid and things are better explained to you.I personally found this to be the easiest of the Souls games. There are Bonfires all over the place, so you really don't have to go back that far if you die, but I guess that's a good thing. And the bosses never really posed much of a threat. I don't think I died at any 1 boss more than 5 times. If you're on the fence about Dark Souls 3, give it a chance like I did, you might be surprised. It's easily in my top 3 games of 2016!

This is one of my favorite games now and the most fun I’ve had playing a video game in a long time.
I went into this game skeptical that I would like it since people said it was hard and I don’t think a game being difficult should be its main attraction. I’ve never played any other game in the series but I was told you don’t really need to story wise since it’s vague anyway and that was pretty true. I loved this game so much. If your worried about it being difficult, don’t. The game starts you off easy and your skill level will naturally get better as you go along. You don’t need to be afraid of dying since it’s all apart of the learning experience. The fights in this game are all very fair and beating them is all about finding the right strategy and executing it. Lvling up can help but you don’t need to grind to beat the game. You can run past everything and go straight to the boss if you want, but I had so much fun exploring the world for the first time and trying to figure things out for myself that I think it’s one of the main attractions of the game. The world is sort of dark, creepy, and like the apocalypse hit a long time ago but beautifully and well designed. You can tell there was a lot of love put into these maps and the world design. There are a lot of ways to play and tons of weapons, magic, and armor to discover and use. The weapon stats and scaling took me a minute to completely understand since there is just so much information on the stats page, but once you get used to it it’s pretty simple. Overall playing darksouls is fun and beating each new challenge is rewarding. The price of this copy made it even better since I wasn’t sure id like it so if I didn’t it didn’t feel like much of risk since this copy was only like $15. Even after beating the game and immediately getting both dlc I only paid like $45 for the entire thing. Well worth my money and I now feel comfortable about buying predecessor games. The only cons I can think of is that while the game is fair there are a few things I found a little unfair: namely that standing in tight corridors can restrict your weapon swing movement and disrupt it which is fine a strategic part of the game but I found that sometimes enemies weren’t held to the same rule and even could hit me with projectiles or spears through the walls. Another thing about the gameIs that is 100% doesn't hold your hand which I really liked about it however the main thing I found a little frustrating that quest lines could be unclear and easy to miss. You basically need a walkthrough to make sure you don’t miss quest lines or mess them up which for someone trying to just explore and figure out the game themselves could be a little off putting since I didn’t want to spoil anything with a walkthrough.A good souls game to start with and I’m defiantly looking forward to playing earlier games and future games by from software.

A wonderful franchise indeed !
If you are already in the Demon's Souls and/or the Dark Souls series, you know what to expect. Nothing new here but a very well done video game. And for the new ones that never played those games and you like to have a good challenge, still a very good game to play ! And do look for the other ones before too. They are also very good.
