FilofaxPersonal Finsbury Black organiser

The Finsbury is a nice mid-range model from Filofax. It was my first Filofax and I'll always remember it fondly, but it did have some issues, too, with my biggest irk being the flatability.PROS:- Beautiful colour and leather- Feels very sturdy and luxurious- Large rings- Snappy popper- Overall classy feelCONS:- Does not attain flatability. The leather seems too stiff and too shaped, it does not flop open like the Maldens.- The lining is a thin fabric over paper, which will wear out, unsticking off the paper and leaving wrinkles and odd lines of wear along bends.- Over time the pebble texture starts wearing its colour off, leaving a 'skinned' appearance on the bumps. My Filofax has only been used on tables and carried safely in soft bags, so it's not very hard wearing.- The pen loop is leather. You can either find a pen that fits exactly, or you can stretch it out a bit by putting fatter pens in there, but it doesn't look great. I've done it anyway.- My rings had a bit of misalignment. I should have sent it off when I noticed, but I was too young and excited to even thing about giving it back. Get a replacement if it happens! The papers catch every time I flip though my Finsbury and it's very annoying.- The personal size really is a bit odd when having to write in it, especially larger amounts. It certainly is a bit cramped.My Filofax is almost 8 years old, so it held up well enough. A few months into owning it, the flatability started bothering me and I started scrunching up the cover everywhere in the hopes of breaking in the leather. It has left my Finsbury much softer and floppier, but even then it does not lie fully open :(

I’ve used a Filofax since the 90’s and my old one is still going strong but it’s A5 size and was to big for my handbag, a pocket size was to small for my needs so I went for the personal size. It’s just perfect. Fits my handbag and there’s loads of space for note paper as well as a diary, and I do have a lot of note paper. I don’t have a contacts section so no address package in there but I do have space for one. The leather is really good quality and has now gone really soft and I love the colour too. The only comment I would make is that a few of the reviews said it didn’t come with a diary so I ordered one but when I received the Filofax there was one in there, perhaps a note could be put in the description as to whether it comes with one or not. I love it really pleased.

I searched long and hard for just the right personal sized filofax. I had seen others with the patent leather shiny look get scored easily and in my handbag this would happen quickly which is why I went for a textured leather. Holds a lot of different dividers and pages along with the sticky note pack (linked to this post)  Filofax Personal Small Sticky Notes - Assorted  Only issue I had was that the pen slot on the side was just fractionally small for my pens meaning I had to find a specific pen to use with it rather than using my favourite pens (may not be a big deal for some but irritated me slightly) but there is a zip section at the back where I keep my favourite pen so it's never too far away. Popper is solid so far and the leather doesn't crease when you lay it flat which is always a bonus.

Nice filofax but why on earth does it have a 2023 insert ending on December2023? I got this for 2024! Expensive mistake for filofax to make.

Cercavo un'agenda organizer in vera pelle che non costasse una fortuna. Ammetto che non mi piace comprare online e l'ho prima cercata in cartoleria, ma è stata introvabile in colori che non fossero nero o rosso. Dal vivo il colore è anche meglio, più acceso e brillante. Veramente molto bella.

Very good quality, has owned it for two years and I'm using it every day, and it has not been damaged.
