No the filter is not rated for gas. This listing title was revised in early 2022 to state "Diesel Engine" up until then it was unclear which fuel were safe to use. Gas will dissolve the clear nylon bowl.

Well, if you replace the whole filter housing the question is different. This unit is a copy of a Parker/Racor unit and uses a standard cartridge. Unfortunately this thing leaks.
