Pretty easy to put together until you need a screwdriver, then a little more muscle is needed to attach 16 screws for the wheels and a few other small things at the end. Putting the big pieces together is easy with the hex wrench. It is not fancy but perfect size storage for under the stairs coat closet and my coats still are above the top. Great way to organize that space and keep winter throws in there for the summer. Wheels are very sturdy and absolutely necessary for gaining access to this stowed away chest. Closely matches my walnut floors even though most people won't see it.

Assembly will be impossible unless you have a couple of basic tools. You will NOT want to use the included Alan key to drive the screws into the pressboard. (First picture) It’s not easy and will leave you hurting by the end. You will want a good screw driver, a Phillips bit, and an Alan bit to go in it. The alan bit that worked for me says that it’s a CR-VH4. It will go easiest if you have an electric drill or an electric screw driver. That would be optimal. (Second picture)The hardware is ok. The lid support spring is a bit on the cheap side, as are the handles (which are a strictly decorative).Everything else about this chest is fine. It’s dense pressboard with a decent finish. Keep that in mind too, because it will scratch easily.It’s good for storing toys, blankets, pillows, other moderately weighted items. I wouldn’t use it as a bench or to store very heavy items that would put stress on the walls of the chest. It’s only held together by wood screws.

Put together very easy. Fits all my blankets and I luv that it matches my other furniture nicely.

My daughter is off to college. I hosted a trunk party for her. This worked out perfectly. I was able to store most of her gifts and she’ll be taking it to college to use for storage/seat. Perfect buy!

My husband and I put this together and it works great. We actually put it together as a xmas gift for a loved one. Instead of allowing her to assemble it we presented it fully constructed. She loved it
