I purchased this laptop desk for working from the sofa and bed, and it has exceeded expectations. The bamboo construction looks attractive and feels sturdy. It provides a comfortable working position and folds away neatly when not in use. The size is ideal for a laptop and accessories, making it both practical and space-saving.

OMG - why have I waited so long to get one of these!? THE POSITIVES 1. It encourages much better posture when using a laptop. This is the biggest plus for me. 2. It puts wrists in a much better position, thus avoiding RSI type damage. Also a big plus for me. 3. I was a bit worried it might be a too wide, but the phots show that it fits onto a 4' wide bed with space to spare. However - probably only with one person in the bed at a time. Two people could squeeze under at a push, but it would be pretty tight - you'd need to get on with them very well! : ). I thought I needed a desk with the slopey bit centrally positioned, but in retrospect I think the narrower desk with a flat bit only on one side would have been fine. 4. The stopper that prevents the laptop slipping off the bottom of the 'desk' is removable, which is great if you want to use the table flat. However, for me, it's too tall and the corners on the top edge are too square. I'm going to give it to a carpenter friend of mine to shorten it and round the corners off so it doesn't dig into my wrists so much. 5. The stopper thingy can be stored in the small drawer, so the table can be folded really flat for storage. However the drawer is tiny, a pen only fits in diagonally (see photo). No probs if you don't need to store anything more than the stopper in it! 6. It arrived in super-fast time from the date of order, especially since it looks like it came from the Netherlands (not China, where it was made). 7. The little circular dip for a cup is great for being just enough resistance to prevent your cup from slipping off the table too easily. 8. It's really handy having the flat sections on either side for TV remote control, wireless mouse, paperwork, etc. 9. It has a nice matt finish and apart from the bottom of the legs, the flat surfaces are generally quite smooth - the edges less so though. 10. The legs are adjustable to different heights. 11. The slopey section is adjustable to different slope angles. 12. It's strong and sturdy, and not too heavy. THE NEGATIVES 1. The biggest negative for me is that the bottom of the legs are not sufficiently sanded and the rough edge catches on the fabric of my duvet cover, especially due to it being a jacquard type fabric, so I'm going to have to sand them down to get rid of the rough bits. This is the reason I deducted one star. 2. When the slopey section of the desk is down, it isn't absolutely flat because it looks like the wood has warped a bit along the edges of the middle section. I think this would only really be a problem if you wanted to use the desk for sketching - but then again, if that's what you were going to do on it, you'd buy one without the vent holes in the first place. For an uber-flat surface, (for drawing/sketching for example) you'd need to have a thick piece of card to put on top of the table I think. 3. There's nothing to keep the drawer closed, so it just slides open if you tip the table. However, there is a stopper, so it doesn't slide out totally, it just slides open. 4. If you're getting it as a gift and don't want to give away what's inside, you'll be disappointed as the contents is advertised on the packaging (see photo). 5. On the one that arrived with me, there was a dent/scratch on the front edge (see photo). It's an aesthetic issue as it's not perfectly smooth, but it doesn't affect the functionality. All in all however, I love it and I should have got one of these a long time ago.

8.5/10 (first impressions) Been looking for a lap desk for a while. Most are too small for multi screens or being able to have a Laptop and note book on the table/tray at the same time. This is perfect (so far) for students, creatives, people with disabilities who can't sit at a traditional desk for long periods, and those working from home (to either work on their bed, sofa, or heighten their current desk to improve posture). Delivery came a day earlier than expected. Parcel came in one box. Initially thought the part to hold the laptop in place when the desk is tilted didn't come but found it in the draw. This part came chipped but is easily fixable with some super glue. Love that it's height adjustable and can fit a tablet and laptop or a portable monitor and tablet so you can multi task. I've included a picture with my 15.6inch portable monitor and 14inch laptop side by side for size reference. Brilliant price for a lap desk. Unsure on longevity as I've only had it for a bit as of writing this review. For the short period I've had it and the chip in the laptop holder, I have given it 4/5.

So much bigger than I expected. Fits my laptop and mousepad with a generous amount of room left over! Could easily fit a notebook alongside my MacBook. Looks well made and you can remove the part that holds the computer up when its raised which is really nice as you can then write comfortably without it being in the way and store it in the little drawer. Very easy to use as it comes prebuilt and seems very stable. Haven’t noticed any scratches or defects either.

this item arrived from Germany via amazon fulfilment centre with a day to spare on delivery, and it is exactly what was looking for. needed a table to hold the little internet device, usually hold while laying down in rest mode but arms go cold and pins and needles start, reading lots or reviews, one review stood out, and it was about using a side flip table possibly putting the table off balance, or not being inline with the device, hadn't thought of that point so thought about how I would use the table and decided upon this one this table being centre flip enables total balance, and equal view. the draw was also mentioned as having no use, this particular table by songmics heat stamped on table support right side front, uses the draw right hand side of table, to store the little wedge of wood the device rests against, this rest wood has two wooden pegs that fit into the table top, making it removable, and always kept with table, enabling other table uses. Could easily use this table for crafting, the air holes are at the top of the centre flip another reviewer already mentioned using as a coffee table, the flip part is held up with a round metal u shape in one of the 5 slots of the centre bar of wood the pivot is 2 hinges there is an slightly bevelled area to place the cuppa, on left side, although tempted to use a coaster the legs are sturdy for me on the first round, the slide areas have 2 round areas to guide height adjustment, the fastener is plastic screw metal, but with some wood skills a tool could be made to enable ease of undoing, (something similar to a wood burning stove door opener) for those with dexterity issues, or use grips gently with a cloth to protect plastic, this table enables the legs to be folded for storage on full height setting. am not sure if this table is coated with varnish shellac or wax, or just bamboo wood with out a finish but its smooth to touch. there were no instructions in the box, regarding if need to refinish or guidance on weight limits for the table.. all in all am happy with the table, its seems to be a sturdy, and will probably be crafting on it very shortly.

Bought this for working from home- sitting crosslegged on the floor at my lappie. Was slightly anxious as had seen a lot of similar items with bad reviews about rough edges and splinters etc but the SONMICS double sided item is very sturdy, with no splinters, and nicely finished. The double sides means I can sit centrally and comfortably. it is a fair weight so if someone is ill or frail night need help to move if used as a bed table - but makes it very sturdy. I've used it for about 3-4 weeks with no prob. I would just say that I put a wet glass in the mug space and it did discolour the bamboo finish a little - so am more careful now and use a placemat. Arrived very quickly and well packaged in bubblewrap to ensure safe delivery. No "handle" on the little drawer but that's not a big issue for me. The "bumper" at the bottom to stop laptop slipping works well. The 5 positions make it very comfy to type and view laptop screen and havent had any issues with it staying in place. The legs extend and have a notch to ensure the extension stays in place - would have been nice to have a slightly higher position - but as it is designed for a bed table, not sitting on the floor - I accept it would change the design and main purpose. it works fine for me. I'm using an ortho coccyx wedge cushion which I bought same time. Very pleased and would recommend this particular version.

I am bedbound most of time and need a tray such as this to balance my laptop on. I have used the metal cantilever leg type until now (if you know the one I mean) but after the 2nd one broke after only 12 months i thought I would try and find something a bit more robust. (the leg types both broke off at the leg joint-they are very weak and thin there so I dont recommend at all btw) So, having had a couple of failures, at an even lesser price, I expected this tray to be flimsy and maybe not suitable. I was immediately surprised- firstly by the quality sheen and finish on the item! It looks and feels really nice. Someone complained the leg extender screws kept coming undone- simply tighten them a little with pliers, they are no problem after that. The screw that holds the folding legs is maybe a little too loose and they are inclined to fold under a little too eagerly, but again a simple tweak with a screwdriver sorted that. The final moan I heard was that the drawer keeps coming open. Yes it does. All is needed is a little blob of BluTackon the back face and it holds it perfectly. A few days in now and I must say I am delighted with this item. Of course I have no idea of its durability BUT I figured, being wood, would be an easy carpentry repair if anything does go amiss-so all in all I am very hopeful. If anyone else has need to use one whilst lying horizontal like me then I would definately recommend this-I am a large chap and the legs extend high enough to bridge my belly and is so much wider than my last one. It is very static when in position and doesnt rock about at all as my last metal one did. If I was being pernickity at all I would say that the only slightly disconcerting feature it has is that the elevating tray part of the unit is on the left hand side..myself i would have preferred it to be central- but hey, OCD is a bugger eh?? lol. For all the very minor points above I deducted a star- which in truth is probably a bit harsh.

It's worth the price.

Arrivato nei tempi previsti, é molto resistente, si vede che é di buona qualitá, ha un magnete sotto che impedisce alla parte che si solleva per il pc di aprirsi mentre viene trasportato, le gambe sono regolabili in altezza e sono richiudibili, ha un cassettino per riporre il pezzettino di legno che tiene il pc...quando é chiuso lo si può usare per la colazione a letto. Importante il fatto che ho comprato questo modello a differenza degli altri più piccoli é comodo per le persone mancine...ma allo stesso tempo non é adatto per l'uso su un letto singolo perché il tavolino con le gambe aperte é più largo del letto...in definitiva sono soddisfatta, é molto stabile e comodo e di buona fattura, lo consiglio.

Franchement pas déçue de cette petite table pour mon PC portable l'image conforme très joli même c'est bien pratique en tout cas,je recommande 👍

The table has a nice quality and fulfills its purpose. It's a little heavier than expected but that is just good as it might feel flimsy otherwise.
