Authentic flavour in an instant
This stuff is great and really does save the time you’d otherwise need to make your own kombu/katsuobushi dashi. As it’s very concentrated, you just need a little to add to hot water, miso paste and dried wakame to make an instant miso soup.

It’s good at adding serious depth to stock
In my limited experience, this product is excellent. I used it to really add some depth to a vegetable stock I used for a cod ramen, and it was delicious. I’m English, cooking in England. As I say, my experience with this cuisine style is limited, but I’m very happy with this product, and would recommend it.

Bottle looks small but it is concentrated!
The soup base is really delicious. Unfortunately the instructions are not that helpful. You’re probably going to have to some math to work out how much you’ll need. I recommend starting with less and adding more depending on how much water you’re using to dilute it. Too much soup base and it’s quite salty. BUT once you dilute it properly, the actual taste is super delicious! Really tasty and versatile.

Great dashi for daily use
My go to dashi stock. I've used a few different powders and those little bags, but I find this one easier to use if you're reaching for it regularly. If you use dashi once a month, it might make more sense to stick with the powdered stock. Would highly recommend but make sure to keep in the fridge to extend shelf life.

Well worth the money, helps make great soup.

Good taste
This is really good, much better than the ‘stock cubes’ very authentic taste for your sushi dipping sauce

Three Stars
A bit heavy on salt.EDIT: turns out this is a 10-to-1 concentrate. The listing nor the bottle says this, but another listing I found online does. If you are following a recipe that calls for this Dashi, add 1/10th of this and 9/10ths tap water.

Geschmacklich ganz gut.
