it is safe to use outdoors? Is it coated & rain safe?

We had loads of fun using it outdoors although I don't believe it would hold up in a heavy rain. It is lightly coated but not really rainproof.

Would this be useable on a float as to appear like it was parked at a drive in theatre? What are the dimensions?
