Very useful if you don't have a access hatch to your Wan card and don't want to waste time opening and closing your laptop all the time. Just connect the mpcie connector into the slot connect the flex cable, and make sure I can pass it some where from a available gap, and that's it now I have access to my mpcie connector form the exterior of my laptop. Recommend it for DYI.

Works as expected, extend the mPCIe cable. Would be better if the 30cm extension can be longer like 1m though.

Used to add usb card to laptop via the wifi card port.
