Montezuma's Dark Chocolate Absolute Black with Almonds

Flavor and texture: superb, provided you like 100% chocolate. I have not found any other 100% chocolates with almonds or orange oil, like Montezuma's. Intense, without the least hint of burnt (as some 100% chocs have). At Trader Joe's they also had the 100% + cocoa nibs, which I can't find anymore :-( We are born liking sweet flavors. Bitter is an acquired taste. Giving Montezuma's chocs a low rating, as some reviewers did because they didn't like that it's bitter, is nonsense. Go eat Lindt 70%, enjoy it, and rate what you know about!

I have purchased Montezuma from Trader Joe's for years, and absolutely love it. In all that time, I have never had a bad bar like this. When Trader Joe's stopped selling Montezuma, I looked on Amazon and had to purchase directly from the UK. I was excited to finally receive the chocolate and when I opened it, was extremely extremely disappointed in the quality. It is inedible and very frustrating. I have contacted the company, Nosh London, and am still waiting for a reply to correct this situation. I sincerely hope they make this right. If I could give zero stars, I would!

9 days from overseas, not bad! What was I thinking ordering chocolate in the summer? Arrived on a 96 degree day in humid Baltimore and I'll have to say, very little sign of any melt! Regular chocolate would NOT have fared so well. That said, the orange is very good, the almonds stale....no doubt due to summer. So order the orange in the summer....(citris, right?) Leave almonds til fall! I will still finish both bars by the end of the week! I love this dark above all other, especially with the nibs!

I really enjoy these chocolate bars, especially since I've gone mostly sugar-free and low-carb. This one is no exception, although if there's a Trader Joe's near you, you're probably best off just picking up a regular Absolute Black there - less expensive and no wait for shipping from the U.K. The almond adds a bit of flavour and different texture to the cocoa nibs, but not quite different enough given the shipping distance.

I love the strong Dark Chocolate. Montezuma's Dark Chocolate Absolute Black 100% Cocoa has no sugar. BUT THE COMPANY SHIPPES THE WRONG ITEM, I like the smooth without nibs but half the time I get shipped Montezuma's Dark Chocolate Absolute Black 100% Cocoa with nibs.

I found this chocolate to be incredibly smooth considering how dark it is. However, there was almost no flavor - not bitter, not really anything. I am not crazy about salt but maybe that would have livened this up a bit. I don't think this is worth the expense so won't be reordering.

It’s perfectly dark chocolate. How many options are there for 100% cacao, to keep sugar low? Not many. If you want chocolate with sugar or loaded with artificial sweeteners, this isn’t for you. I enjoy it immensely. Dip it in peanut butter for a keto fat bomb, drop a few broken pieces into your smoothie.

It is 100% Cocoa which I hadn’t noticed when ordering. Tried it and spit it out, so bad threw it in the garbage. I guess I should have ordered something with less cocoa so maybe my fault.
