Very solidly built; light enough, easy to use. Not really optimized for throwing or splitting, but the head is a balanced width, neither too thick or too narrow. The weight feels about like a framing hammer and they work really well for limbing small pines and carving steaks from green wood. So far the edge has held pretty well on the one I’ve been using a lot.

Update:The company reached out to me wanting to make this right. I’m giving it 5 stars because the company stands by their product.I bought these and took them out for the first throw for 20 minutes. The blades are coming off the handles already and one of the handles split. Trying to reach out to the company for a replacement or warranty is not working.

Threw these axes for about a few hours over 2 days and the handles started falling apart. The axe head is great but the handle are garbage and not made for throwing at wood target. Find better quality and spend the money for better axes if you plan to throw frequently. These are cheap just like the price!!!DONT BUY!!

Blades appear well made and the handles were smooth and easy to hold/throw. HOWEVER after only 40-60 throws one handle split in half and another is starting to split the same way. All throws against a regulation target.

Good heft but first one broke at the shoulder after throwing it 2 times, the second one had the head come off the eye after the 2nd day. 3rd one is still holding together despite me hitting the haft with another axe and giving it a good chip. All in all not very sturdy. Wouldn't buy these again.After I placed this review the sellers contacted me and were gracious enough to replace the broken axes. While I was disappointed at the initial result, I really appreciate the timeliness and attention that they gave.

Durable and sharp. Good weight. Looks nice too.

Bought for throwing axe and only lasted a short time. The wood handles need replacing already and two of the three broke off with the wood still in the head. Ordered new handles and will have to burn the old wood out to fix. Overall seems like good quality and great for throwing with good balance. They just need better wood for the handles.

Nice and heavy, good throwing momentum and easy to sharpen!
