I recently used the BV475 on a 5-day backpacking trip, and overall, I am very pleased with its performance. Managed to fit 5 days of food and my 750ml Toaks cook kit in it. Had to be strategic when loading. Fits sideways in my osprey pack. It is on the heavy side at over 2lbs but to not have to hang a bag I will take that sacrifice. I plan on getting the 425 and 450 eventually to reduce the size for 2-4 day hikes. I have it set for an AT section hike I am planning for next year. Hard to open but GGG has a fix for it.

What do I like?The food canister is a solid, strong, clear view, and not too difficult to open. Just needed a bit of practice.What do I dislike?A duct tape cover my mouth! This bear canister is easy to use, it took me a minute to understand how to open it haha. It’s light weight. The quality is great! Very durable.
