a great way to look at things
This really made me think about how I look at things. So much more than just at the game of golf. Golf is a great example to follow for it is all you and how you perform.

Exceptional Insight
Y’all did a superb job of breaking down the mental component of golf into something that both was comprehensive and practical. No more phony platitudes, just good solid advice, based on reliable research.

Only half way through and this is already the best golf book I’ve read.
Do you get angry during a round and can’t shake it? Do you dwell on your anger or anxiety and continue to spiral as you hit bad shot after bad shot? Do you think to yourself “why can’t I have fun?” or “When I’m playing bad I’m no fun to be around.”This book is for you. I’ve read books that give you advice like to not care where the ball is going and to have a short memory about your past shots. While those are nice thoughts, they’re just temporary distractions. This book digs way deeper and uses science to address negative thoughts/emotions/behaviors, how they impact us mentally AND physically, and how to replace those with something much more beneficial. This book will help you get out of your angry tailspin and bring you back to the present.

Too technical - tough read
I listened to the author on a podcast and he had great insights but I had a hard time with the book. First time maybe ever that I haven’t been able to finish a book. It was that boring and unhelpful.

One of the top 5 golf books I've ever read.
Bought it on Audible and Kindle too in order to have easy access to the content. Has had a significant impact on not only my performance, but also my enjoyment of the game. Thank you, Raymond for sharing your knowledge on the subject!

very complex way to engage a simple topic
Raymond has coined this book a "new' science, the content of which is actually an ancient philosophy from Buddhism and Oriental practices which he did not give much credit t. Interested parties can read about mindfulness and meditation for an easier understanding of this topic from books like The Vital Force by R. Patel, FRom Mindful to Insight by R. Nairn, Peak Mind by A. Jha and The Power of the Unwavering Focus from Dandapani. For golf related inner game, techniques from Zen Putting and Zen Golf by Joseph Parent and books by Bod Rotella are easier to comprehend and applied.
