What I wanted to say about my new shorts from: BALEAF
Hi everybody. I am a 70 year old female (I'm not Steve. I'm married to Steve.) I play tennis three times a week, I’m big boned, not huge but 20 pounds overweight. I cannot fit into the cutsey women’s XL size they sell at Dicks. Academy, etc. I have given up trying to ever shop in there. Shame on them for never carrying any women’s 2X.I play most tennis with married men so would never wear the teensy skirt that flashes your AQQ every time you bend over to pick up a ball. (Girls, don’t be naïve. It’s not okay.) Thus I am forced to hunt for Men’s XL shorts, ones that don’t look too masculine. I’m very picky and it’s really hard to find what I need. Enter Baleaf. I just bought two pairs.Do they have the light dreamy fabric that wicks away moisture? Check! The perfect length? (for me, 5”) Check! Deep pockets to hold my tennis balls? Check! Nice, comfy elastic waistband? Check! Adjustable strings at waist? Check! And Ooh, look how strong they are! How about a nice subtle logo design for men who want to scream their game, not scream their brand? Check! How about great colors that girls would like too, not just grey and navy. Check! Built in brief? You bet! Check! But cool -- they used clever, stylish brief colors to compliment and contrast the outside, not just boring noncolors. How about the price? Check! $18 instead of $45+. for the same or better quality than the big boys. Finally, they fit great. They wash great. But wait! There’s more! Act now and you will receive, at no extra charge, a zipper pocket in center back to hold your keys and money. THANK YOU, BALEAF! I love you guys.

Very functional shorts but not very aesthetic in looks
I started running ultras so I was looking for a prefect shorts. I was looking for following functionality :-- Light weight and non cotton fabric- Should have the pockets on the side, I didn't mind the extra length- Have a back pocket with zipper, to keep keys or gels or phone- Have a inner mesh lining- Have a waist string, so when it becomes old and elastic gives up then I can use the waist string. After coming across this and looking at the review this seemed like the perfect fit. I am 5'6 and 145 pounds with 30 inch waist and ordered small. It satisfies all of the above requirements but it does have small flare around it because of the elastic which I don't like so much. I also figured out that I don't really like the extra length till knees. So there is a compromise between short length or side pockets. I want the side pocket since I can stuff my cap during the race when running in shaded areas so that I can feel the wind in the hair. Use the cap in the open prairie. It is also convenient when you can stuff the stuff when walking to the car with house keys, wallet extra stuff.**If you find my review useful then please click the 'Yes' in helpful. Amazing, versatile shorts!!!
Let me start this by saying I'm an avid outdoorsman, and my primary activity is distance running. That said I own running shorts from all the major brands. These shorts from Baleaf meet, if not exceed the performance of those more expensive brands in practically every area.Details: True to size, the liner offers ample support but isn't too tight or too scratchy (perfect material), they wick well, they stretch, and they have a back zipper pocket!Believe me, I've done the research and spent the money. Buy these shorts now and save some of that hard earned dough! They are every bit as good as the more spendy brands making them a superb value. Heck, you could buy about 3-4 of these for the price of one of the more mainstream brands.I'll end on saying one more positive thing. They do have side pockets too which makes them good for tennis, the beach, or any outdoor activity where you need the extra storage. These shorts are a no brainer. They have held up well and I plan on buying a couple more pairs in different colors.

Great quality, great price. Why pay more.
I'm impressed. I really hate spending a lot of money on running clothes, but its important to invest in good quality gear. 40$ for running shorts from the big brands? Seriously?? This is good stuff. I especially like the rear zipper pocket. It is actually large enough to fit something as large as today's cell phones. I read some reviews about the large elastic waste band. It is a bit bigger than some of the major brands, but it is not an issue at all for me. The fit is just perfect, and I like it. I will definitely look at Baleaf product line for future purchases.

So I like the length
So I ordered these as well as a seven inch pair because the prices of most workout shorts are insane. The sevens were to long for my taste but these are just right. So I like the length, I like the feel of the fabric, and the price is much more palatable. However they are cut slightly odd, the pelvic area below the waist band seems bigger than my other shorts and they tend to bunch up when sitting. Second the width of the leg opening seems wider than other shorts, not by much but they bell slightly and really want to ride up when doing anything other than running. Just my thoughts.

Nice, but they ride up at first
These are the least expensive shorts I've seen with a zipper butt pocket. They hold up pretty well and I like the Army green color. My only issue is that they ride up in the front, giving you sort of a crotch wedgie and exposing your inner thighs. After a quarter mile I tend to forget all about it though....now that I look through some of last race's pictures, maybe it's just because I start running with my thighs rubbing? And once I warm up I spread my legs? [that's what she said.] Oh well. They're inexpensive and effective shorts. I will probably buy more!

Great features, for a great price
Context: avid runner, occasional racer 30+ miles/week. I've got many pairs of shorts, but am always looking for a good deal to put into the rotation as others wear out.Pros: great price, good pockets (hard to find deals on shorts with good pockets), standard no-nonsense designCons: the liner just feels like it's too big & bunches up a bit. This has posed no real problems on shorter, lunch-time runs (generally 4-6 miles, <1 hour), but I don't think I'd ever purposely pull these out for a long run.

Very badly described
These things are going back to Amazon, the design is rubbish, the fit is rubbish but if you like something that goes up to the chest and down to the knees then these are for you, think of a sack with a pair of tubes attached at the bottom then you get the general idea, i wonder where the manufacturers found the talented monkey to design them, Monkey World or London Zoo, it has to be one or the other, someone shouild tell them they made a mistake and the monkey used has no talent and is bordering on a half wit.

Good Value
Really like these shorts, they feel comfortable and the pockets are great, although agree with another poster the zipped back one a bit big for car key. Only worn them once for a 5k run so far but think they will be fine for running and gym visits. Given 4 stars because I haven't used them long enough to see how many washes they will take.

Not as described or looks by description or photo
Not running shirts at all, says 5 inches but that’s the biggest 5 inches I’ve seen. They are massive.

Almost perfect
Spent ages trying to find this exact style of shorts. Would have preferred a greater choice of colours, but that's a very minor detail to me. Material is very comfortable and the zip-up pocket holds my keys securely.

As described
Fit well, probably a bit longer than my other 5 inch shorts but fine. Good quality and worth the price paid.
