These coasters make a great gift for an owl-lover in your life, but they're a little smaller than expected. They will fit most average glasses and mugs, but a large-bottomed mug would perch awkwardly. They do function to prevent warping and staining of tables, though, and they're not rough despite being made of wood.

The coasters were really well made and very cute.However, -1 star because when they arrived they smelled like the lacquer used.My wife loved them and they are good thickness and great to keep drops of liquid from ruining her new desk.Overall, extremely satisfied. But keep in mind if you buy them, air them out for a day or 2 before you wrap them up and gift them or use them.

They are nice coasters, fit the cups just fine. But one glaring problem we notice immediately - they slide all over the place when placed on surfaces without a table cloth or linen on it. We use ours on hardwood end tables, and they tend to move, spin, slide every time. Will be going to the craft store and picking up some backing to affix to the back of the coasters. Maybe thin cork board, rubber/cloth feet, or something along that lines with double sided tape to affix it to the back. Should to the job. Maybe the makers of this product could apply this hint on their future orders???
