Does the lifetime replacement include the glass?

No! I broke the flask and they won’t replace it as it is bought through Amazon.

It holds 1 litre, about 3 mugs or I'd say 6/8 cups depending on the size

How many layers in the filter

The Cafe Du Chateau French Press has a 4 level filtration system. We use 2 stainless steel screen filters supported by a spring loaded base plate to seal the edges, followed by a final lid strainer to make sure you have a pure brew with no grounds.

How can I remove the glass jug from the carafe from the Steel? Mine is stuck (can't twist or pull it)

There’s a HUGE design flaw here. We’ve now had two units both with exactly the same issue in that the glass simply can’t be removed. Despite pulling, twisting, jiggling, levering, and everything in between, it will not budge and in the end you will simply break either the glass or the handle trying. I would strongly recommend avoiding this product.
