This is another example of a mislabeled product, it says "Cinnamon Oil" but it does not specify which of the 2 parts of the plant it comes from, therefore exploiting the consumer's positive experience of the intense, rich, sweet smell of the cinnamon spice. When you call a product "Cinnamon Oil" it means that people will buy it expecting that smell, which this has only the faintest trace of.What is actually smells exactly like is clove oil (something i despise) to which a small amount of cinnamon has been mixed in, perhaps hovering in the 5% (if you burn it, if you smell the oil directly you might not even detect that small amount, it depends); that's what it SMELLS like, i'm not claiming that's what they did with this product.As to the why, it means that it's the LEAF extract rather than the bark, while the spice you buy at the supermarket is the ground BARK of the plant. Unfortunately the two smell very differently, and a lot of vendors actually label their oils as "Cinnamon Leaf" and "Cinnamon Bark" accordingly, with the bark oil being the more expensive of the two.When i saw the price for this oil being the same as the other 50ml bottles of oils in the batch i was buying from Freshskin, i suspected it would be the case, but since it said "Cinnamon Oil" i hoped it wouldn't be.In other words, if you enjoy clove oil, and are wondering about the combined smells of clove and cinnamon (albeit in different proportions), then this oil may interest you, likewise if you have any application at all for the leaf extract, otherwise you can safely skip it and search specifically for "Cinnamon Bark" oil.Freshskin is normally a good retailer, I've given them repeated business and will continue to do so; however this is the 2nd of their products that -AFAIC- are mislabeled (their Myrrh Non-Oil being the other) so i suppose that's the one area they should improve upon.

The smell is like cinnamon swirls. Have not tried it in my soap but can't wait

I didn't want to spend £12 upwards for cinnamon scented pine cones, especially when I have pine trees all around me. I bought this and sprinkled a FEW drops on to my collection of pine cones and now have Christmas pot pouri for a fraction of the shop bought version.

Just love cinnamon and this is a lovely Lovely scent. Bought for use in oil burner. Very quick delivery.
