Absolutely brilliant!
Just put a small 7ft x 6ft uPVC on the back of the bungalow, there was already a patio area with slabs over a hard core/cement base so rather than digging out foundations the porch sits over the slabs. To seal any damp that might come up through the slabs I did some research about damp proof course products and went for Drybase as it was available in an easy to apply liquid with a brush or roller, I used a brush. It also dries very quickly and has hardly any odour. I liked the fact it not only protects against damp but also various harmful gases.I cleaned the slabs before application and although 2 coats are recommended to be on the safe side and to fill in the tiny gaps between the slabs I put 4 coats on. Criss crossing coats. It took about 6hours altogether from application to completion.I'm very pleased with the finish, it feels warm to the touch, the gaps are sealed between the slabs and where the bottom of the walls join the floor. The temperature outside when I did it was around 20C. I laid the vinyl flooring the next morning and an outdoor rug just protect the vinyl a bit.It really is brilliant stuff. In fact it's so good I've used some of it to repaint the top of my large air source heat pump, because the window installers had scratched the paint off when fitting a new kitchen window and I didn't want the AHP cover to rust. In fact I've only just painted the AHP top cover and it's just 10C outside maybe a bit less, and the Drybase still took less than an hour to dry between coats. It's not meant to be used in this way, but seeing as I'd bought a 5L can and only used about 1L I thought I might as well use some of it up. I believe from memory the shelf life once opened is about 2years if kept sealed and in a dark cool shed or outbuilding.I read that the life of the product used on the actual floor is about 2-3yrs so I'll give the porch floor another 4 coats in 2 years time whether it needs it or not.So yes I'd recommend this product, the hardest thing was getting the lid off and putting it back on again.Oh and it goes a looooong way, so I'd recommend getting a 1L tin to start, because that's all I used and ended up with 3/4 of a tin left over. And if you do need to get a second tin 2 x 1L tins are only £40 so cheap enough for a professional finish!

Quick drying
Working well so far on a problem wall. It took a few coats so unable to finish the whole wall with a one litre. I have bought the bigger can now.

Excellent Solution for Damp-Proofing Walls and Floors
The Drybase Liquid Damp Proof Membrane is an outstanding product that truly lives up to its promises. I recently used this on a problem area in my home, where dampness had been an ongoing issue, and the results were impressive.Applying the paint was straightforward. The consistency is just right—not too thick, so it spreads easily, but not too thin either, ensuring solid coverage. The 1-litre can be enough to cover a decent-sized area, and the white colour provided a clean, bright finish. It dried quickly and left a smooth, even layer that looked great. What really impressed me was how effectively this paint sealed the walls and floors, creating a reliable barrier against moisture. Since applying it, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in dampness, and my walls have stayed dry even during wet weather. It's clear that this product is doing its job perfectly. If you're dealing with damp issues in your home, I highly recommend the Drybase Liquid Damp Proof Membrane. It’s a quality waterproofing solution that provides both peace of mind and a professional finish. I'll definitely be using it again for any future projects!

COVERS FAR MORE THAN STATED ON TIN
THIS SEEMS A GOOD PRODUCT, IT'S EASY TO APPLY... BUT BEWARE!!! ... YOU DON'T NEED AS MUCH AS YOU THINK YOU DO. IT SAYS THAT 1 LITRE COVERS ONLY 1 SQUARE MITRE; THAT ISN'T TRUE... IT COVERS A LOT MORE THAN THAT... I NOW HAVE 3 TINS LEFT OVER, WHICH COST 50 QUID A TIN!!!

Runnier than expected.
I bought this to hopefully stop a damp patch appearing on the wall just inside my front door at floor level every time there’s heavy rain. Full instructions are obtained by scanning a QR code on the can. I expected this paint to be a thick consistency but as with other reviewers I found it to be quite watery but it doesn’t run or drip too much but the pictures on the side of the can showing the white paint being applied by brush are misleading, I found it does not cover that well even after two coats. The instructions say it’ll be touch dry in approximately one hour but mine took much longer, possibly due to the ambient temperature so I left it overnight before applying a second coat. It’s water based so clean up is easy. When completely dry I will overpaint with emulsion. I cannot comment yet on whether it works or not.

Goes on easy and does the job
Goes on easy was enough in a 1lt tin for 2coats on the floor in a small brick shed, 4’x3’

Worked well for some damp areas
I live in a Georgian property that has an outside cellar ( the property used to ge a hotel and this was the beer cellar). I had a great deal of damp on the wall above the cellar on both sides. I suspect it was rising damp as apart from the multiple damp patches there was, what I believe to be, salty deposits all over the affected area. The photos above show the wall after three coats of this paint and then a coat of emulsion. It didn’t work. As I had an opened tin of water based wood paint to hand, i gave the areas a very liberal coating of this. I have a carpet fitting booked in a few days time and was desperate for some resolve. It worked. The wall was 90% better than it was. Unfortunately I didn’t photograph at this point and as I had ordered another tin of this damp proofing paint I have given all area another coat this morning. I will follow this with a further coat before applying more of the water based wood paint and once dry i will take further pics. We have quite a few areas of damp throughout our oroperty and I feel relatively confident that this damp proofing paint will work brilliantly on them. The kitchen and dining room which share a wall above the outside cellar was always going to be a harder nut to crack. In this area my water gased wood paint has proved infinitely more effective.
