RuggedMade 12mm Oil Changing Engine Drain Port Hose

No more spilled oil and engine cleanup. This hose makes it quick to change oil on my Hustler Raptor XD with Kawasaki FR691 engine. Simply pull the hose from its included rubber keeper (it attaches to the filler neck), unscrew the brass hose cap (has an integral o-ring) and let the oil empty into a disposable container with cap for recycling.

Most inverter generators come enclosed in a plastic housing to reduce noise. But this makes oil changes more challenging by restricting access to the drain plug and usually makes a mess when the oil drains out onto the plastic case. This item solves all those issues by letting you access to the drain and removes the oil outside of the housing preventing a mess. I purchased a cheaper brand but the nut to attach it was too narrow for a normal wrench and I had to use channel lock pliers which scratched the motor case and drain. This item has a proper mounting nut and can easily be installed with a normal wrench. I am very satisfied with this product. I even bought a second one for another generator I own.

An oil change on my generator would be a disaster without it. This allows me to drain the oil off to the side in a container instead of all over it.

Awesome product.I have a homemade wood splitter that I retrofitted with a 16 HP Duromax Model XP16HPE. The retrofit worked extremely well but changing oil was an absolute nightmare. I installed the Drainzit HON1012 12mm Oil Changing Aid and now can change the oil without getting a drop anywhere except in the drain bucket. I would suggest that the website (and DrainZit) list the thread PITCH for there adapters. Drain plugs are typically installed in sheet metal oil pans and thus use a fine thread. However, most 12 mm bolts have a 1.75 mm pitch (coarse) while my drain plug on the Duromax had 1.5 mm pitch. The Drainzit website only list Honda applications and drain diameters. I had to download the parts list for one of the Honda models listed for the 12 mm DrainZit adapter to determine that the drain plug pitch for the Honda was 1.5 mm and therefore the same as my engine. The adapter fit perfectly and took less than a minute to install. Warm the engine up to normal operating temperatures before changing the oil.

After looking at the oil drain on my new 3200 Simpson pressure washer with the Honda GC 190 I realized that changing the oil was going to be a mess. Found this product and it solved the problem! This will make changing the oil a snap! Note there are two drain ports on the 190, left and right of the engine. As you stand behind the engine, go with the right side drain. I did not know this and used the left side drain which facilitated taking off the wheel to install. No big deal, but use he right side, the better option.

I got this for my Simpson SIMPSON MegaShot pressure washer with the Honda GC190 engine. Although the details don't specify, this fits on the Honda GC190 as well.I've read some reviews in which it's stated that to get this attached to a Simpson Honda powered pressure washer that you have to remove one of the wheels, get a special elbow adapter, bla, bla, bla. YOU DON'T NEED TO DO THAT. I believe another reviewer has already mentioned that, but I want to reiterate. The Honda GC and GX series engines come with two separate oil drain plugs; one on the side of the engine at which you pour oil in and one on the opposite side. If you attach it to the one on the other side, beneath the gas tank, it's easy to attach this hose if you're smarter than your average box of rocks.This hose is a perfect solution to common problem. Kudos to Drainzit for coming up and marketing this simple and elegant solution.

Works great until it started leaking on the crimped seal next to engine. Great idea because the factory drain is horrible but mine started leaking before I knew it I had a heck of a mess underneath the lawn mower. This could badly damage the engine and belt if oil got on anything. Great idea but I think you need better material. Once tightened on the engine the hose still spins freely either direction. Don't skimp and use cheap parts please this could be a great thing but it turned out to be a bad. I hope it didn't damage anything because warranty is out now. Should have lasted longer than a season. I own these longer than a year but it only got used this season of 2023. I wish I would have gotten pictures of it before I wiped it off but you can see it's where it has slung all over the side of the engine. I wish the seller would contact me but I'm sure it won't happen.

I bought this after making a mess changing the oil on my power washer with a Honda engine, figured there had to be a better way! I have installed it and I think my days of making a mess doing something so simple are over. It is not cheap but appears to be first rate quality. I did contact the seller and I think I spoke with one of the principals of the company. He knew what I was talking about and had a clear answer for me. I did use a large hose clamp to secure the hose out of the way. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend it highly!

Great product if your tired of used engine oil leaking over your machine or on the floor of your garage when changing each year?This product make oil changes effortless. Simply place the drain hose over or in your oil catch can remove the end cap and watch the oil drain with no spilling or leaking ever again . Be sue to remove the oil dipstick to allow venting for faster flow when draining.Easy to install and took about 10 min.

Would have worked well had I not tightened it to a point that the brass snapped rendering it useless. My fault.
