26cc Petrol Hedge Trimmer - 24" Blades

An absolutely beautiful little machine, easy to start and works like a dream. I absolutely love it. Professionally made and great value for money just like the other power tools I have ordered. It's just what I always wanted. I will definitely put it to work as it is intended for, and believe me, I will put it through it's paces.

I have an electric hedge trimmer that couldn't deal with the amount of shrubbery we have in the end. I looked at hiring a petrol hedge trimmer to shape a large pyracantha that is loved by a colony of house sparrows. The birds use it as protection from predators due to the hedges large amount of extremely sharp thorns. We were in danger of losing the overgrown pyracantha during the recent storms and high winds. It was nearly as much to hire a petrol hedge trimmer as it was to buy this one. I could go on but yes I would thoroughly recommend this Parker 26cc hedge trimmer it's easy to start has plenty of power to tackle a thick thorny pyracantha and as said we have a large garden with plenty of shrubs so the hedge trimmer will be put to further good use. Excellent value for money. I will buy Parker Tools in the future.

after priming started on first pull. does a fantastic clean cut on a fir tree. It says lightweight, but I beg to differ on that one. hope to have this for years. recommended by a professional Gardener. I must add, this machine is quite heavy and you will want to rest, i found one day that the actual blades got a bit near my leg and caused a slight cut, it could of been disastrous. I would recommend to invest in a protective leather apron, which will prevent a bad day. A fantastic machine but be 100 % health and safety switched on.

After reading good and bad comments here is my tuppence worth.This is not a light weight piece of plastic with a battery and as such people should understand before purchase this is dead Dinosaur fuelled and as such instead of having a super lightweight battery it has a hunk of metal called an Engine that alone will weigh more than your complete electric one.Comes assembled ready for petrol mix to be put in only thing I found was a nuisance was having to slacken the blade guard bolt to remove the blade cover and as so will never put this back on again.Started third pull from first priming and each time since.When starting do not throttle but give full choke and as soon as started flick the choke between off and on half a dozen times to get it warmed up a bit then leave it ticking over for a minute or two to warm up before full boring the throttle.I did in 15 minutes yesterday what my electric one took me 2 hours to do so it is self explanatory the power it has.Like all cutting machines if you are dumb enough to let this rub of your legs while running then you deserve the results.I am 67 and yes it is a bit of a work out but if a 67 year old with 3 heart attacks and a 70% diseased heart can use it for fifteen minutes straight then probably most people can.If you have a problem with the weight then perhaps you should hire a gardener or get someone who is used to a bit of hard work do it for you. ( just saying ).All in it is a great wee tool for the job and owning other Parker Brand Tools I have never had a problem with any of them, that said like any new thing even cars you can buy one and it breaks down as soon as you drive off the forecourt.Peace.

great hedge trimmer, fired up after 3 pulls on the starter, and only 1 pull when hot! well balanced machine, easy to handle and cuts my privet hedge well

I have owned this product for three years. Lightly used but useful. The unit itself is quite heavy but relatively inexpensive.Sadly the inexpensive purchase is now VERY expensive. I had trouble with the unit which started and then stopped when throttle was applied. I was advised by email to clean out the carburettor which I did to the best of my ability and with NO INSTRUCTIONS. After that the unit ran for a while but started smoking and would not move the blades when throttle was applied.The customer service insisted on a video despite my description of the problem. When I came back to try again the unit would not start and the pull start was not smooth at all. It jerked and the unit would not start.The only advice from Parker was to buy a new carburettor. But would not refund it if that was not the problem. The other issue is that you are supposed to regrease the unit before each use. Unfortunately the nipple to attach grease is virtually impossible to get to with a grease gun. So I bought a grease gun that now doesn't work with the unit as well.I strongly recommend that all customers choose a different brand. This is cheap for a reason.

Bought these on a the reviews, best thing I've bought to cut my hedge, easy to start and never missed a beat. As long as you prime it correctly it starts after a few tugs of the cord. Powerful and cuts very clean, a little heavy compared to electric and battery powered models but I guess if you want something that's going to cut cleanly then this is a good buy and value for money.
