Can you put these in a firepit and simply light the rocks? No gas needed?

Hi. The lava rocks do go into the fire pit. But you need to light the gas to heat the lava rocks. The lava rocks are not combustible. The lava rocks retain the heat and distribute the heat.

Is this safe too use in a aquarium filter ?

Indeed it is safe to use in aquariums. Prewash the rocks before use to get rid of the dust from the stones. We sell a huge amount to aquarium owners. Regards Peter

Can these be used below the gas burners to catch fat?

I lined my fat tray with strong foil then put a layer of cat litter to absorb the fat, easy clean up after a few uses.

Other half is VERY happy with these

Purchased for other half’s gas barbecue. Perfect for our needs and gives our BBQs that Smokey BBQ flavour with the convenience of gas. Arrived very quickly and great value for money. The larger rockes turbo charges our gas firepit

fire pit came with small stones that were OK but limited the flow of gas so flames were just so so. Bought these bigger rocks and now looks amazing as flames can breath and are now twice as high .Wish I had taken a before an after
