Depends on how heavy your beard is. Mine is very thick & even though I rinse the razor before inserting it in appliance, I get one month to 6 weeks of use before replacing cleaner unit. Suggesting you always either rinse with water or use a can of air to remove beard from razor before using appliance.

I use a series 5 and it works beautifully I SEE NO REASON WHY IT WOULD NOT WORK WITH A SERIES 9

It depends how often you shave, even with store bought cartridges the shaving system base (body/holder) is always automatically running an "intensive" clean cycle. I like this product and would order again when I run out.

Keep the lid!

I went for a couple of years without using this stuff after the last batch quickly ran out, thinking it was an indulgent waste of time and money. After trying it out again I have changed my mind about that, because it makes a HUGE difference to the shaver! It does its job so much better after a through cleaning.If you do get this stuff, KEEP THE LID and put it back on after every use. This substance is really volatile and will evaporate quickly if you just leave it open in the machine. Doing that has made a big difference this time around and I'm sure these cartridges will last me quite a long time.

Make sure you order the right ones. After the first order was the wrong fit, we ordered a second lot. Again it didn’t fit. You do not get a prepaid return slip and it was too expensive for us to return. Completely disappointed.
