Stott Pilates Toning Ball

These are lovely to handle and feel so much more fluid in handling when doing Pilates and yoga type moves.My problem is with the packaging which has a plastic base to hold the bottom ball and a plastic separator between them, one on top of the other. The bottom ball is squished and marked (having a big protruding udder like shape underneath where it's pushed through the too small base) and no amount if turning it over and weighing it down returns it to its original shape. As the older design of these balls was bigger and not as attractive as these (with a made in Taiwan embossed underneath), I bought another lime 2 pack and again, the bottom ball was misshapen and the top ball had discolouration and speckles on it and felt more loose due to its bigger size.For such a high price I'd expect these to be more uniform in size and quality. Quality control needs addressing as does packaging.Otherwise they'd look good in any room which makes you more likely to pick them up and use them. The colour is very nice too, sort of more appley than in the photo.

This is the brand of toning balls that my barre / pilates studio uses but I originally bought a cheaper alternative toning ball to use at home. When the cheaper alternative arrived, I realised why these are more expensive - you can't really compare the quality. These are a great size to fit in the palm of your hand and the smaller size means that the weight in the balls is concentrated in your hand and doesn't move around the ball when you're using it (which happened with the cheaper option. They will get slightly misshapen with continued use according to how you hold them, but that is to be expected with this style of weight. I wouldn't but another brand now.

They weren't as firm as I thought they would be but are very durable and I don't get the feeling that they will burst even if I put all of my weight onto them. Maybe my legs are different lengths but I get the feeling that one of the balls I received compresses more than the other but only slightly. Very nice product.

I bought these for my workouts. The only down fall is I have a hard time holding them as they are too big for my hands. Great for someone with above average hands.

Was told to buy these by my physiotherapist for rehab on my shoulder . They have worked great for the exercises I need to do .

Recently attended a hot yoga class, and this is they type of weights they had... so easy to hold, easy to store... and they are so cute!! Would highly recommend!

After LESS than owning the for four weeks, one toning ball became soft, the other is firm. both toning balls became impossibly sticky and unable to be cleaned, I used gentle soap to no avail. I called Merrithew the manufacturer in Toronto, but they would not help me. They refused to exchange or refund the toning balls.

I already own 1lb and 2lbs weighted balls and now with these 3lbs my workout is more of a challenge. They are very well made, soft to touch and if they deflate a little over time, you can pump them up to its round shape with a bicycle pump and a pin needle attachment (available separately in sporting equipment shops). These came in a nice container, with shaped insert to maintain the rounded shape of the weights. They are filled with some sort of heavy sand and air.

These arrived right on time. I actually pulled the muscle in my right shoulder, and I was having such a tough time thoroughly stretching it out. I was in terrible pain, and I knew it was just a matter of stretching that smallest bit more. These balls allowed me to extend that stretch the needed amount. They are small enough to keep in my desk, and I was planning to keep them at work. When they come back in stock, I am ordering another pair to keep at home too. They fit really well in the palm of my hand and balanced well. I think these would be a wonderful fit to anyone's stretching routine!

The other balls I'd ordered came with air included making them too large and unsuitable for my needs (juggling). These are full with sand, uniform in size and have little to no air. The fit neatly in my hand and feel much sturdier.

I had to replace my Leslie Sansone walk away balls and since their website never responded to my question if they could be refilled I decided to try these and am very happy I did! My old ones were about a pound from loss of the water they had in them, and these are wonderful to use. Easy to hold and work with and the color brightens the workout! I would purchase these again, probably won't have to because they seem sturdy.

I gave these weighted balls three stars because they do what they say... They are two pounds and they are balls. However, they are not the same as other weighted balls that I have ordered multiple times from Stott/Meritthew from a variety of sources, including Amazon. These are too big for me to hold comfortably in my palm.
