Outward Hound Granby Splash Orange Dog Life Jacket, Medium

Ordered a size large for my Husky x Malamute, who weighs about 33kg.Fairly good quality but I did notice one of the straps was hard to tighten up as it kept coming loose when adjusting it. The front velcro flap could have been longer, but the underside velcro flap was perfect and offered lots of adjustability.Size was spot on, could have been a little longer in the back but provided extra buoyancy when she was swimming.The colour is also bright making her easier to spot in the water.She had no issues running around or swimming in it, and didn't show any discomfort whilst wearing it.Overall very happy with how quickly it was delivered and found it reasonable value for money.

Sadly this did not transform my dog into an instant confident swimmer, she looks at me with total disgust when it comes out the cupboard. That said, it fits her perfectly and is supposed to keep her safe if she 'does a stupid' whilst out on waterside adventures, which the coat does. I know she can swim (having fallen in off the bank in a few places) she just prefers not to, and this cost hasn't changed that one bit! As I've been boating / kayaking more this season and wanted the dog to come along, I thought it was better to be safe than sorry as she's not a voluntary swimmer (in total defiance of her breeding). She much prefers to stay in whatever craft I'm using, and is quite happy there, this is a precaution only. I have carried her into the water with it on and supported her to swim with me by her side thinking she might take to it better with me with her, but she's still more of a land dweller :( It keeps her more buoyant and the chin float seems to stop from any accidental nose dunking. Its bright, and the two handles would make any scooping rescue really easy. One thing I think is missing though, is a D ring or some kind of loop to attach a line to - for dogs that are maybe prone to swimming too far in / swimming after birds / maintaining control and safety in any moving water, if that's what you're doing. If Binx were at all adventurous in water, I'd have retrofitted one for sure, rather than attaching a line to her collar. In any kind of emergency you dont want to be pulling your dog in by the neck if that would at all cause discomfort or dunking. A loop on the back of the coat (neck or tail end) would be preferable to pull the dog in with, in my opinion.

Fantastic!Nice and bright, saw a blue one recently and thought.. mm if you lost sight of your dog, you wouldn't spot him so easily. It's not overly bright though and very smart to look at. It's paler than the photo but I like it better. It's solidly built and beautifully finished off. Great quality.Fab fit. I have a 2 year old 53lb standard poodle, 28/29" chest and 22" from justbelow his collar to the base of where his tail starts. I bought the Large and it fits him beautifully, I just needed to adjust the straps.My dog has his name engraved onto his collar but I would have liked to have had a place for his name and my number. I'm thinking about using a sharpie permanent pen to write straight on itLove the neck float which will help to keep his head above water. have tried picking him up via the 2 back handles and they work a treat.Now I have peace of mind for our holiday by the sea and his obsession with retrieving sticks. :)Would def buy again and I highly recommend. :)

I wanted to buy a lifejacket for my dog as we are taking him on holiday to the Algarve, and so far he hasn't learned to swim (he backs out of water once he feels his body rising). I wanted to be on the safe side, but also as he is not used to hot weather it should help keep him cool when we are on the beach. He can be a bit of a troublemaker too so I thought the handles would be handy in case I need to grab him easily.I'm so happy I chose this jacket! After looking at several options and reviews I opted for this one as it looked to be well adjustable and made from quality materials. Once received, it lived up to those expectations. The velcro on the neoprene waist band is especially useful for fitting it onto my wriggly doggy, and feels comfortable and secure on him. When I lift my dog using the handles the jacket feels comfortable and secure, and he doesn't mind at all.My dog is a crossbreed so I'm never sure what size to buy; I took a chance without measuring and went for a medium, which fit him like a glove! If it helps others, he's a similar height to a staffy but a slimmer build, however the build shouldn't make too much of a difference as there's still a lot of room to adjust the straps for a bulkier or chubbier dog.So far there's nothing I dislike about the product, and for the price I think it's great value for money.

Really good support from the belly mesh. Tilly was on and of the kayak and we felt good knowing that she had a lifejacket as she loves swimming so much she does tend to want to overdo it. Nice neck cushion with this jacket, too. Really well considered design. Could do with a D ring on the handle or lower back of the jacket but we just added a cable tie and it does the job perfectly well and doesn't rust.

Our dog is a very capable swimmer but we felt she needed this for paddle boarding. Does exactly what it says. She hated it at first but soon realised it was actually brilliant for fetching her ball whilst swimming and we struggled to actually get her to come out of the water at the end.

Fits great, supports great, very visible. Cockapoo loves it and apparently very glad that she’s able to use less effort in swimming. Just ensure your pet is attached to you in strong currents

This is the second Outward lifejacket I have purchased and always found the old one was excellent quality and always recommended it to others. However after a couple of years wear and tear I wanted to replace it with a new one for my Labrador. The quality of the replacement is noticibly very poor compared to the previous one. After only a couple of weeks of use the stitching has come undone. Very disappointing.

We can easily maneuver them back into the kayak after they've had their fun in the lake. The vibrant colors and the hassle-free buckles/velcro make putting the life jacket on and taking it off an absolute breeze.I cannot recommend the Outward Hound Granby Splash Dog Life Jacket, enough. It's a fantastic investment for any dog owner who wants to ensure their pets' safety and comfort during water activities.

Got 2 of them for rough collie.One is 36 kg so I got the XL size. This one fits perfectly.The other one is 24 kg so I got the L size. This one seems a bit smaller, but the XL might be to big.All in all they both look and feel great.
