Worked perfectly to replace the start capacitor in an older 3 HP Craftsman air compressor. Please note that newer capacitors tend to be physically smaller than the ones they are replacing due to improvements in materials. I had to make a spacer from scrap rubber I had lying around to ensure that the capacitor didn't vibrate around inside the compartment on the motor. It's only been in one day so I can't speak to longevity, but so far so good!

Came quickly worked fine .

My outside AC unit's fan stopped spinning up when it was running so I decided to just swap both the start and run capacitors, and that fixed it. Both caps tested at the high end of their rated capacity, so hopefully they last a good long time. It's MUCH cheaper to swap these yourself rather than pay a tech over $100 to come out and do it for you. Just make sure you shut off power at the outside box before opening up your outside unit. This cap was the exact same dimensions as the one it replaced, so I didn't have to do any adjustments to the brackets that hold he caps. The spade connections on the top for the wires were the same too, so it was very easy to swap. The hardest part of the entire job was getting the cover back on the outside unit after I was done swapping the caps.

This start capacitor does the job well and has been reliable for my AC unit. It’s easy to install and fits perfectly. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the packaging could be improved to ensure it arrives without any damage. Overall, a solid replacement part that works as expected.

Good replacement

This part was hard to find. Works perfectly and now we can use our air compressor again. This saved us from buying a new compressor.

I used this to replace a failed start capacitor on the motor for my powermatic band saw. I had to modify the connectors a bit to get it hooked up. The original had a screw connection, but if you have a powermatic band saw or similar, I'm sure you're handy enough to do some on the fly mods. Other than the connection, it fit perfectly. I could have just ordered an OEM replacement from powermatic, but the OEM part was more than double the cost and would have taken twice as long for shipping. Not sure about quality, but the old one only lasted 6 years. We will have to wait and see how long this one lasts. It definitely got my saw up and running again.

Worked fine for my craftsman 60 gallon compressor! Was not the same diameter so just wrapped it with black tape to make it fit in the covers !
