Why did you choose this product over others?: Works quietly unlike some other makes. A bit expensive and sometimes cracks appear.

I’ve had my Gardena irrigation system for over 10 years. The connection between the black piping and my garden hose was leaking very badly, so I bought this to try and stop the leak. Worked perfectly. Much sturdier than the simple, shorter connector I had before. Really pleased with it.

This is great for reducing water pressure from mains pressure to that needed in the Gardena connections. But beware this is not frostproof and if you leave it connected over winter it is likely to break if the water is frozen. Gardena does provide a warning to this effect so one should take note of this and act accordingly. I have had to replace this twice because I failed to drain correctly over the winter.

The second of these I have bought. After installing automated watering at the front of the house I needed a pressure reduction valve- works well with the rest of the irrigation kit I bought off Amazon. The flower baskets, troughs and tubs will now be looked after while away. 👍🏻

He instalado el sistema de goteo de un jardín lineal de unos 30 metros, hasta ahora siempre tenía que estar controlando la presión con los grifos y aún así a veces me saltaba algún gotero. Con este reductor de presión se acabó , puedo dejar el grifo totalmente abierto que no me salta ninguno.

J'utilise du goutte à goutte Gardena depuis plus de 30 ans et ces centrales sont indispensables. Elles font leur job sans difficulté, je les rentre l'hiver (et les nettoie alors). Le filtre intégré est bien utile, solide et facile a nettoyer. J'ai plusieurs circuits avec des goutteurs Gardena ou non, donc plusieurs centrales(5) branchées sur plusieurs robinet avec des programmateurs... Les plantations s'en portent très bien, et les économies d'eau sont là (et de temps, pas besoin de tenir le tuyau à chaque plante !). Ces centrales sont assez solides, mais avec le soleil et la pression de l'eau dans le réceptacle d'arrivée, il arrive qu'elles se fendent et se mettent a fuir, il faut alors les changer, cela m'est arrivé quelque fois au bout de 4 ou 5 ans. Mais je recommande quand même...
