My son absolutely loves super Mario and this is such a great mixture for him, he is autistic and really likes to play with lego when it is his calming time before bed.When I saw this set I had to get it for him and when I showed him it his eyes lit up and he was over the moon, he couldn't wait to get it all out.This only has 218 pieces which is perfect for his age to get building with, I tend to leave him to build the lego himself and I didn't think he would be able to build it to the instructions I thought he'd do his own version but he actually did it he followed the instructions provided and was super proud of himself.This is great for him the colour of the blocks are really vibrant and the lava wave ride is the part he enjoys the most. This is great for his imagination.I would highly recommend this.This would make a perfect gift for birthdays or Christmas 👌

I recently got a chance to try this LEGO set with my son and it was a great experience! We both had a lot of fun building it and creating our own scenarios with the characters and pieces. The set comes with Fire Bro and two Lava Bubbles figures, as well as lots of fun pieces to create the Lava Wave Ride.The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, so we were able to build it quickly and get to the fun part - playing. My son was delighted to be able to combine this set with the LEGO Super Mario Starter Course Game (sold separately) and create his own Super Mario world. He also loved the bright colours and the interactive features, like the spinning fireballs, that made the Lava Wave Ride even more exciting.Overall, this set is a great buy, and I would highly recommend it. It was a great way to spend quality time with my son and provide him with hours of creative play.

OK, so we haven't cracked the box yet because we're saving it for half term next week. But let me just say, this is like a dream come true for millions of Mario and Lego fans! Whoever had the foresight to combine the two has hit the jackpot for sure!!!The box is sturdy and colourful. It tells you exactly what you're getting and builds anticipation. The age is 7+ for independent build, but we're doing it with a just turned 6 year old, together. I absolutely love the motion element, and the possibility to add more sections to it. It's Lego, so we know the pieces will fit together crisply and without hitch. The interactive element is also really interesting and new to us. I'm sure it's going to be very helpful and empowering.Absolutely recommend! We love Lego and Mario!!!

Lego is clearly a leader when it comes to brick building toys. Their quality is without question and I am yet to encounter a set that's even been missing a single piece. So this Super Mario based set looks really interesting and forms part of a bigger system.As with Lego the box is colourful and high quality. Inside the bricks are divided into numbered bags for the appropriate build order. The instructions are detailed without the use of any text and are easy to follow. Every clicks together satisfyingly and feels secure. My main complaint is this set really does need the starter set minimum to accompany it. Which in my opinion is a sin with toys, particularly Lego.While this is an expansion I would have liked to have seen more standalone qualities. If a child had picked this out and parent or grandparent hadn't realised the prerequisites they would be very disappointed. However it is still Lego and the quality is high.

As we have fans of Lego and Super Mario in the house, the Lego Mario range has already been a hit so I was excited to give the Lava Wave Ride expansion a go.As with other Lego Mario expansions, It’s worth noting you don’t get a Mario with this set, Mario comes with the starter course but as this one has features that the electronic Mario can interact with.The provided instructions and appropriately bagged Lego pieces make construction straight forward enough, the minimum target age is 7, and at that age they may need a bit of help.As you’d expect, the quality of the pieces is very good and when complete the mechanical action is smooth and reliable. Not the cheapest set for what you get but given it’s both Lego and Super Mario, it’s worth the money in our opinion.
