Review: Worth every penny! - The Paint Pad Pro makes it very easy to get a great finish and you can paint rooms in less than half the time of a roller and brush with no cutting in! You should ignore the max fill line on the tray and only fill halfway to that point and definitely add water to your paint, this will make the tray roller move freely and allow a good even coating on the pad. All in all the Paint Pad Pro is worth every penny. Review: PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT - PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT I am extremely dissatisfied with this product. I am currently renovating a house and every wall will need painting. After seeing the video add for this is, it sounded amazing and I thought I'd get the place done in no time. I bought two to get the job done even quicker. Sadly, that is not the case. I feel I have been seriously misled on this item. These are the reasons why: 1) Poor product quality- pads don't fit great, and the smaller pad took a lot of pressure to try and get it in the top of the main pad. Very flimsy. Also, I bought the extension pole- this kept coming undone whilst trying to paint the ceiling and the pad kept moving. 2) Uses paint quickly. So quickly in fact that I was refilling the tub every 5 minutes. 3) Paint inefficient at getting onto the pad from the roller. Sometimes the paint didn't even transfer onto the roller and even when it did, didn't transfer to the pad well at all. 4) Even when thinning the paint with water as I'd read in other reviews it was shockingly bad. 5) Hard work- just trying to do a ceiling left me in a sweat. Poor coverage and very hard to push across the ceiling. Unless you use it exactly at the 30 degrees on the add, it's useless. Also took me OVER AN HOUR to do one small ceiling. 6) Cutting in on ceilings was terrible. I feel I have been cheated out of £60 and would never recommend this product to anyone. Please please don't make the mistake I did, thinking it would be great if I just thinned the paint a little. It is NOT fit for purpose.

The extension pole is poor after doing the ceiling
It does drip, i also found the pad can come away from the plastic holder. The extension pole is poor after doing the ceiling ,it was starting to slightly buckle. Its ok,but i think the ideal is in place, but poor design and poor quality plastics used. I found the paint also could easily over spill out of the Roller Tray ,so only keep small amounts in at a time. For £19.99p its ok, but recommended price £49.99p no way.

Waste of money and time consuming...!
On small areas it was fine, but on larger walls even after 2 coats you could see patches and it took a long time to apply as you kept taking the paint off again. The extension pole was not strong enough and kept collapsing and eventually we had to use a normal roller. The cutting in was ok, but after a while the paint seeped round the edge of pad and made more mess. Total waste of money...

House Decorating Made Easy and Mess Free.
I painted two bedrooms and two bathrooms over two days. The Paint Pad Pro made it easy and splash free. However, make sure you use good guality paint and you should only need to apply one coat.

this is going to make painting my house so easy, clean and effortless - How Naive
Awful product! - I have NEVER left a review on amazon before but feel I have to warn people about this product. Painting a house is already a stressful job and one that is always put off. If you were ONLY ABLE to use this product "paint pad pro" (pro my arse!) your house would have more paint on the floors, carpets and dogs than it would on the wall! Pads fall off, bits break off the base unit so no longer functioning, extension poles come apart (they are just slide together and very loose!) paint pod tray holds about 3 and a half strokes on the wall before you have to refill it. I was excited about getting this item, I thought, this is going to make painting my house so easy, clean and effortless - How Naive. Unless you want to create incredible long extravagant swear words and phrases that you never thought possible coming out of your mouth. DON't BUY IT! You'd be far better off using £1.99 rollers and brushes.

... finish on walls using a matt emulsion is the best I've ever achieved and I won't be going back ...
I can say that the finish on walls using a matt emulsion is the best I've ever achieved and I won't be going back to rollers. It does take a little practice though, especially when using the large pad with an extension pole. The roller in the paint tray is good at ensuring the correct loading of the pad and it is consequently a clean process. There is no splatter that is inevitable when using a roller and with a little practice I could get into corners and cut into the skirting boards. However, I found the fittings quite cheap and had two issues. 1. With an extension pole, It's not possible to apply side force as the head pops off the two plastic securing lugs. (The pad dropped from a height of about 2.5 meters and bounced handle side down twice before landing paint side down on the only bit of exposed carpet on my stairs. Was it ever thus!) 2. The pins securing the catch for removing the handle/small pad carrier appear to be melted in place, probably using a soldering iron. They failed on my unit but I've reattached using araldite. Bar these two shortcomings, I was pleased with the pads and will use them more carefully next month.
