A thrilling dark comedy in three parts. Timid schoolteacher Ian Telford (Jim Howick) faces the Stag Weekend from Hell, as he joins his future brother-in-law Johnners (Stephen Campbell Moore) and several obnoxious mates on a poorly planned deer-stalking expedition in the Scottish highlands, under the watchful eye of a menacing gamekeeper (James Cosmo). But it quickly gets messier than anyone expected, when the hunters become the hunted. And as they are brutally eliminated, one by one, their true personalities emerge, sordid secrets are unearthed and old friendships are tested to the limit in a ruthless battle for survival. Bonus Features: Bloopers, Interview, Behind the Scenes

Thoroughly enjoyable....
A friend of mine started watching 'Stag' thinking she probably wouldn't like it and that in all likelihood she was wasting her time but very quickly she realised that she was in fact having fun and recommended the show. As it had already started I decided to buy the DVD when it would be released rather than watch only 2/3 of it. I wasn't disappointed in this. Agreed, it's not intellectually challenging but it's a well-made black comedy with convincing actors, good dialogue, a tight plot and great photography. I enjoyed every single minute of it...

Worth a view
Interesting. I came to this video because I am a fan of JJ Feild, and try to watch everything he's in. I don't particularly like scary things, but I didn't find this scary. Lots of dark humor. I would recommend it, at least once.

It's behind you.
I missed this on BBC2 but promised myself I would buy the DVD when it came out, I was not disappointed. I found it compelling to watch the various happenings of the men involved in the Stag party. I will not say too much of the story line in case I give the game away, so either buy it or hire it I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Twists and turns - deaths and laughs - brilliant!
Love Love Love English dark comedies and this is one of the best. Full of twists and turns, deaths and laughs - just add chocolate for a perfect night in. The acting brilliance of Reece Shearsmith was wasted on such a small part but anything he appears in (no matter how briefly) is bounded to be worth having in anyone's collection.
