So my nephew is a little younger than the recommended age but loves dump trucks and excavators and Lego so this was the perfect combination of all the above. He was ecstatic to build this and it took him MAYBE 15 minutes tops to get the first build done (with zero help he was proud to exclaim!). Great product and Lego nails it again!

This was a little tricky for my 6 year old, as it was his first TECHNIC build. But it came together- great balance between challenge but not frustrating.

i have a lot of legos, it was fun to build, but it took me like 5min, that being said i can do one of the 18+ technic large sets that have 1000 to 2000, and i can finish it in less than an hour but this lego isnt to hard for younger ones

My grandson enjoyed assembling. Now to keep up with the pieces.

I've made most of these little technic kits for my son at this point and they are the only lego kits that can actually hold up to being played with. Normal lego sets will just shatter but since technis pin/socket system is so much stronger it can be a actual, albeit still fragile, toy.Also, the plans for the excavator arent in the box but are online only so make sure you have a phone/tablet handy when you are putting it together
