This slicer worked well for 6 or 8 months, but the wires started sagging or being loose and so it no longer cuts all the way through the eggs. The last one lasted us around 15 years, so we were quite disappointed.

Had this for years! Use it all the time, if you think lifes to short for slicing eggs..... you need one!!

KitchenCraft Heavy-Duty Plastic Boiled Egg Slicer - White KitchenCraft Heavy-Duty Plastic Boiled Egg SlicerI bought this a few weeks ago as my previous egg slicer/pricker eventually gave up on me. The body of this slicer is made of tough plastic, the hinge is also plastic but looks to be sturdy and unlikely to break from normal use. The slots in the main body are quite deep, much deeper than my previous slicer so the wire cutters will go completely through the food that's being sliced. The wire cutters are stainless steel and are very taught, they do the job well, in fact very similar to my previous slicer which gave me many years of use.In use this is a delight to use. It cuts through eggs cleanly and precisely without any mushy bits being dragged from the egg as some slicers tend to do, which in turn seem to glog the slicer and is hard to clean out - No such problems with this slicer which gives a clean cut every time. Again, it cuts through mushrooms quickly and cleanly with little pressure needed. Although I do always cut mushrooms with the stork end uppermost as I feel the skin on the top of a mushroom can put undue pressure on the cutting wires which may stretch or possibly break them over time, stork side up avoids this problem. Stork side up also gives a much cleaner cut.I'm highly delighted with this egg/mushroom slicer, it seems well made and does the job well - Highly recommended!If you have found my review helpful please click 'Yes' below, thank you.

Only have soft-boiled eggs, which still broke within a week.

Got one as a wedding present 35 years ago, which recently broke. This one seems better quality, easy to use, really like it.

As soon as you hold this you can tell the wires are not up to the job, which given they only need to cut boiled eggs says a lot. They quickly warp, meaning you don't get even slices, and they catch when closed, meaning you have to unpick them from below to reopen the slicer/release the egg. Then, down the line, a wire will just break. Much better off getting a cheaper one from Pro Cook, Wilko or The Range as I now have (from the first), particularly given its both much more sturdy and easier. to clean.

Na 1 keer te gebruiken, is het al stuk. Eén van de ijzerdraadjes is al scheef getrokken waardoor het onbruikbaar is geworden. Niet tevreden hierover.

Ho sempre usato tagliauova: questo ( arrivato puntuale con imballo integro) lo apprezzo particolarmente perché occupa pochissimo spazio e, per la forma compatta, è robusto

Heel vaak gebeurde het mij dat het snijgedeelte kapot ging, dit product is stevig en verdeeld de plakken prima.

Simple, small size- fits well in drawer- Cute clean- No problem!
