Very solid! Heavy duty cast iron that fits together perfectly. Very pleased with purchase. You could form a pair of knuckle dusters in it, but it wouldn’t be big enough for anything bigger.

These are very well made. Both sides line up perfectly, they are flat when put together, no gap anywhere including the poor hole. These are nicely fabricated and well worth the price in my opinion. The only thing I would recommend to the manufacturer is a slight chamfering of the 4 holes in the frame on the inside mating area (see photo). It only takes a few seconds on a drill press, and once done the two half’s fall together without problem! (If you do not have a drill press, file 1/8” tapers around the top of the 4 pins. It really facilitates alignment and helps not bumping the sand out on assembly)
